Re: GI Surgeon wants chest added back to my ct scan

My CEA checks are scheduled at the hospital. The next one is scheduled for November. I'm seeing the doctor filling in for my family doctor. I still think you should have your CEA re-tested before they do the CT scan. Is there any way you can get one of your doctors to order the re-test now? Or coul...

Re: Diet struggles after illeostomy reversal

... I don't know where to find help with this. A gastro doctor, a nutritionist? Not sure why this is happening or why my system is so different now. I did not have chemo or radiation. What country are you in? If you are in the US you can search for a nearby Registered Oncology Dietitian Nutritionis...

Re: GI Surgeon wants chest added back to my ct scan

I found out why my ct scans were moved up and it has nothing to do with scheduling. It's because my CEA(tumor marker) is 46 . Before surgery in 2014 it was below 1 and it has always been below 1 up until now. I get my ct scan on September 22nd and see the doctor for follow up on October 5th. From e...

Re: 5000th post

Hi and welcome, I suspect because you have Lynch Syndrome, your body might be able to produce polyps faster than most people. Since you were scoped in 2015 with a clean bill of health, If this polyp does have cancer, I suspect it's a very early stage, O or possibly stage I. Possible surgery, butt p...

Re: Precancerous Polyp at 23

I've had "tummy troubles" most of my life. Blood, pain, cramping, etc... I recently changed doctors and he noticed my significant weight loss (70 lbs/year) and started asking questions. This eventually led to a colonoscopy/endoscopy combo to check for Celiac. He found a hiatal hernia and ...

Re: Relief for diarrhea

... The MD Anderson bowel control program is very detailed and can be found online (I am not sure how to add the link). It involves using Citrucel or Metamucil to bulk up stools and basically a step by step program to retrain bowels to empty at the same time every day... I think this might be the M...
