Sorry to hear this. Had a somewhat similar experience with an abscess after liver resection. Treatment is to drain and give antibiotics. If it’s any consolation some people say the stimulation of one’s immune system caused by the infection can “theoretically” improve one’s odds of cure. Hope it goes...
