Re: Switching back to Pembro

Hi guys, Those of you who are on pembro or Opdivo, have you considered adding aspirin to your daily regime. Please discuss with your med oncologist. It seems at least opdivo gives a better bite for the buck in combination with aspirin. http://www.bioworld.com/content/nonsteroidal-anti-inflammatory-...

Re: Switching back to Pembro

Hi. Things are good overall I think. Recent developments. Had a PET scan last week which showed a small area of FDG uptake with no corresponding lesion on CT. They ordered an MRI with liver specific contrast which is supposedly the most sensitive/specific imaging for liver mets and it showed nothin...

Re: Loco-Regional Hyperthermia

I’d say there’s no evidence to either support or debunk the practice. But my take on all these non-conventional therapies is as long as it doesnt hurt you or interfere with conventional therapy (the assumption is you are getting evidence-based treatment) then it’s ok. Anecdotally, at one point I pur...

Just looking for non-toxic supplements that may boost immune function to (in theory) act synergistically with immunotherapy. Open to suggestions.

Lentin/Biobran/MGN3

Hi all. I have used the search function of the forum and have not come up with any results. Has anyone by any chance had any experience with these supplements which supposedly boost one’s immune system specifically NK cell function? As far as I can tell they all seem to be one and the same. Thanks.

Re: Colon resection now abcessed

Sorry to hear this. Had a somewhat similar experience with an abscess after liver resection. Treatment is to drain and give antibiotics. If it’s any consolation some people say the stimulation of one’s immune system caused by the infection can “theoretically” improve one’s odds of cure. Hope it goes...

Another article on duration of immunotherapy after good response http://cancergrace.org/cancer-101/2016/09/14/io-duration/ Hi Henry. First of all congrats on your results on Opdivo. I have been on Keytruda for a year and I am doing well save for the toll it is taking financially. Where I live the d...

Are you continuing with Keytruda for now?
Any discussion with your medical oncologist on that front.

Hi Henry. Yes as of now the plan is to continue with Keytruda up until 2 years though I might bargain with him if he’s ok with reducing the frequency.
