Re: Colonoscopy

I don't think you should worry but instead keep your appointments for follow-up colonoscopy and stay aware for symptoms. Don't write off symptoms that you know ate not normal. Polyps are not good news in any form, and that's why regular screening is needed. You had quite a few and you will need to m...

Re: Starting chemo today

My infusion went well. The nurse complimented me on how well I did. My visit with the oncologist did not go so well. The tumor board has concluded that the strange cells found in my ovary are precursor ovarian cancer cells. I will be seeing a GYN oncologist in the future, but right now we are conce...

Re: Fatigue Advice

I've been battling an abcess that won't heal also. When it gets funky the fatigue is incredible. The only other time in my life when I've been so tired was when I was infected with a drug resistant hospital bug after childbirth. I can tell now within hours if the abcess is filling up. I never sleep ...

Re: Colonoscopy while in treatment?

Is Dr an appointment for a colonoscopy with my GI. She called my oncologists for more information and cancelled it. She called be and told me that she would not scope while I was on chemo. That it was too risky and pointless because she wouldn't remove anything during treatment anyway. I guess it's ...

Re: Blood mixed with stool/change in bowel habits/weight loss/pain

Sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. I know how hard it is to get a diagnosis when you have something out if the ordinary. My guess is that your pain is probably non CRC, just because the two scopes came back negative, but I'm glad you are following up with another to be sure. Clean out till ...

That's great about the surgery plans.
Sorry to hear about the arm though. I hope you have some friends to help with meals for a bit. It's OK to ask for help.
Happy Birthday.

Re: Xeloda for Stage II - did you work?

I'm not a stage 2, nor have I taken Xeloda specifically, but I have done 5FU with oxaliplatin and Iriotecan. I've had 57 doses if 5FU and work full time through it. I am able to run my kids around and keep a consistent schedule. My work allows some flexibility and I know that's not easy to come by. ...

Yes. I love it when my chemo buddies get good news. We gotta be there so we might as well make it a good time. Sharing hope is good.

Barrier cream wipes work well and are not greasy. You can find them on Amazon. I clean up first then apply the barrier wipe. Don't flush the wipes.

Re: New with questions

Sorry to hear about your Dad's situation. It's awful that you will be responsible for so much of the cost. There are never any guarantees that even with adjuvant chemotherapy that the cancer won't come back, but it's used because there is evidence that it reduces the chances that it does. The likeli...

Room temp Snapple mango juice. Yummers.
I've microwaved coke or Dr pepper too and that was actually good.
