Re: Neuropathy - How would you describe it

Re: Opinion on getting a general physical while on chemo

Oh I skipped all that during chemo!! I had enough of doctors, nurses, weigh-ins, needles, tests...etc. Besides...why bother if chemo is gonna totally screw up your bloodwork, your liver panels, and heaven knows what else. Take a break, and then when you're done the chemo...wait a couple of mon...

Re: 30 Laps..........

thanks everyone....you are all so understanding and sweet..... The other sad part I forgot to mention is that her wishes is for no visitors except for close family. Re: How long do you have to see your oncologist?

Well my onc ''dumped'' me as soon as I finished chemo. He gave me a sheet of followup info for my family doctor and basically told me 'see ya'' but he did tell me that if I ever wanted to see him about something to call him up. The followup ''info'' he he gave my GP basically is a one pager s...

Well, when my friend and cancer-buddy Trish was going thru her recovery post HIPEC surgery, she amazed me with her energy and healthful approach. During the summer of her recove...

Re: Too ashamed to say colon cancer?

I'm with KathrynMN....I have colon posters in my office cubicle, I wear a blue wrist band, a blue ribbon pin...etc. When people ask about my cancer I tell 'em 'COLORECTAL'.... loud and proud!! Until we can get over this stigma over our colons...we will never garner the type of media attention...

Re: Does this make sense

Have you ever flown before? Fear of flying is a very common phobia....there are actually programmes out there designed to help you cope. You may want to look into them?? Personally, I like the drugs option....a nice ativan or two would work for me.... :D In any case....you need TO GO TO Kauai!!! I'v...

Re: Bowel Obstructions

Hi Kelly! Glad to hear you're still NED...sucks about the obstructions though. I gotta admit it doesn't make sense to me?? :? The action of the colon is to remove water from fecal matter. So you would think you would have the opposite problem, ie: constant diarrhea?!?! I wonder if anyone here can co...
