DK, Thanks so much for posting this. I was staged IIA but I got adjuvant chemo because my tumor was medullary which is rare and I had lymphovascular invasion. The medullary tumor was the driver. I just pulled my pathology report and I was CDX2 positive. While I have a number of residual side effects...
We really enjoyed the Seahawks win since we live in the San Juan Islands in Western Washington. We have lived here for nearly 10 years, and before that 20 years outside of San Jose CA making us de facto 49er fans. But I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, went to college in Meadville, PA, and then lived in ...
I am sorry to hear that you have a recurrence but it sounds like you are on track for a plan to go after the beast again. Oxi (the OX in FOLFOX) normally causes neuropathy, so hopefully you will not get that side effect again. Lois
I am so sorry you have to face this, but it helps to have each other. My husband was my rock when I was diagnosed. He has a lot of chronic illnesses and we just solve each problem as it comes. May you get the best news possible and may you find an effective treatment plan going forward. Best wishes ...
Lynch negative is really good news. I remember that when I got my 'negative" news I felt a huge relief, not just for myself, but for my family members, Have a good holiday. Lois

It was disappointing (I had to get up at 4 AM to get a ferry to get there) but I felt SO lousy I was glad we skipped. Two weeks ...
We are swinging away. My first positive on a mammogram came a month after my resection surgery and the same week I was getting my genetic testing results and two weeks before I was supposed to start chemo. It was a false positive, but a lousy week, nevertheless. Lois
My oncologist "released me" in September, which was five years from my diagnosis and surgery. I was considered NED at that time, but I still did chemo. Lois
When I was on FOLFOX I lost about 95% of my hair. I tried a wig, but hated it, so I started using hats and scarves, even in the house. I had enough wisps of hair on the edges that scarves worked very well. I ordered them from the American Cancer society. Lois
I understand completely and sympathize. Our Chihuahua/Jack Terrier cross is nearing the end. He has had a heart murmur for three years (he is 13 we think - he's a rescue) and he is finding it harder and harder to get comfortable. Our vet works out of her car and is on alert that she might need to ma...
