Re: Distant lymph node metastasis with no organ involvement

Ahoy Chuck, I'd suggest also looking into alternative therapy such as SBRT (targeted radiation). RFA (radio frequency ablation) is probably not an option if the tumor is too close to a vein/artery as the blood would cool off the heat that's needed to cool the tumors. Therefore, it's perhaps a good i...

Re: Pantimumab

Yep. They're the same, and yes, it's an alternative to erbitux/cetuximab. That said, apparently some Spanish study a while ago found out that people that had failed vectibix still had benefits from cetuximab (or it could have been the other way round). Am on panitumumab monotherapy currently and doi...

Re: Holy hell

Ouch. It must be so good to get home regardless of the fever, lethargy etc after so long in the Big House. It's easy to say as an outsider, but if they've had you in there for so long and couldn't find what caused the fever, maybe they never will and perhaps it'll clear up on its own when you're bac...

Re: How do you pronounce oligo?

I used to love the flow of oligometastases. It is like a whole hopeful sentence in one word. I wish it were still true for me... Mmm yes, compared to "all over the place" (polymetastases? Insanometastases? Panmetastases?) oligometastases does look good and may sound better. Mentioned it t...

Sorry Candy, I do get your post but this was too good to pass up: I didn't like that question myself but there are many answers you can give depending who is asking the How can you look good when you're off chemo but also look good when you're on chemo? As you say, not many people manage to do it bu...

Re: Xeloda Q and A

@Edge: 9 pills sounds about right. They're not small pills either. I had some hand/foot issues as well but nothing major. I'd take the pills half an hour after breakfast and diner, which seems to work best for me (taking it too soon after food makes it a bit bloated/uncomfortable, and you're suppose...
