Re: Possibly still NED...our story to date

Just want to remind you to take extra care of yourself too during this stressful time. You need to rest well and eat well and have some fresh air outside to have both physical and mental strength to take care of your husband. We caregivers often forget how important that is. Best of luck to you guys!

Re: Possibly still NED...our story to date

I do hope your doctor or doctor’s staff will be answering them. (Pls do share if you get them) One way or another, he will be NED after surger...

Re: Dumb neuropathy "improvement" question

My husband’s last oxi dose was in May 2017 and he is still suffering neuropathy in his feet, especially his toes. I highly recommend getting a shiatsu foot massager machine with heat. You can get one from Amazon. With daily foot massage with that machine while watching TV or reading, his foot blood ...

Re: Waking up dormant cancer cells during chemo

Thank you all for the links and inputs. Knowledge is power. My husband is currently on maintenance chemo Xeloda + Avastin. Because of his extensive liver involvement at dx, his oncologist wants him to be on this chemo combo hopefully to minimize the chance of recurrence. I am wondering should we sug...

Re: Trends

My husband’s colon tumor was quickly cut out only days after his colonoscopy because it was blocking. Our liver surgeon prefers surgery early and takes cancer out before liver gets damaged by too much chemo. He managed to remove everything including one deep inside segment 5. To preserve more good l...

Paola, Please power through it. It was definitely hard but with a lot of encouragement, my husband finished it. He did 6 cycles before and 6 cycles after liver surgery. Re: Just how bad is it?

My husband had 10+ live mets at dx, and our Oncologist didn't want to count them after lesion number 10. The biggest one was 7.9 cm. He did a MRI post 6 cycles of chemo to prepare for the liver surgery, that MRI report says there were 12 lesions, 8 on the right lobes, 4 on the left lobes and biggest...
