I know this is a tough decision, but if there is anything I can do, let me know. Reading your last post, fel...

When I was not on chemo, I would try to eat health, but when on chemo, I would eat FEEL GOOD food, and drink plenty of Ensure. This is FYI in case...

I just read your post. Guess I'm one of those opposite also. I find I can't cry. My husband says I should. I had someone tell me once the reason I won't cry is because my body is in a fighting mode. I was diagnosed 2 yrs ago with stage 3 rectal cancer. I do have MAJOR MOOD moments. I can be very sad...

I'm glad that you were able to find this site, I am sorry for why you had to find it. I was diagnosed 2 yrs ago (age 46) with stage 3 rectal cancer. This is a challenging club to be in but you will find survivor with stage 4. Don't give up the fight.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. She is young, thus she should be able to handle aggressive chemo treatments. If you haven't yet, please get a colonoscopy, and encourage any other siblings to do the same. If your siser has any children, they should be checked also.

Good luck

I guess I was one of the lucky one (if one can call it that). I had rectal bleeding, doctor ran a bunch of test, EVERYTHING came back normal. Sticking a probe up my tail bone confirmed I had hemmoriods, nothing else. Because hemmorids run in my family ( no history of cancer) doctof felt confident it...

I was also kind of staged at my diagnoses. Because they could see that certain lymph nodes were affected, and because my scans were clean, the doctors felt confident that I was stage 3. I was aware that the surgery would determine the actual stageing. My surgery did confirm I was indeed a stage 3.

O.K. Now I'm a member, I am the person who responsed about the colostomy bag, signed in as a guest. WOW that sounds like some major body bending work out. Have you talked with your surgeon about this? Having a bag will not stop you from persuing this goal. The surgery might, but not the bag. Have th...
