Re: Elevated Liver Enzymes

Do you know what she takes for pain meds and how many a day? I take 12 vicodin a day and that's quite a bit of tylenol (I take the 325 mg tylenol, not the 500) and my enzymes are up about .4 in the ALT and .1 in the AST which isn't a lot, but they have been higher. If she's taking to much she should...

Re: Question

I don't know if you were on Avastin but I had terrible joint and muscle pain from that and had to go off after10 rounds. From radiation I have a lot right hip pain and the scan or MRI (MRI I believe) showed it to be deteriorated which I won't worry about until I'm in remission for many many years if...

Re: God Is Still Good

It sounds like (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) that they all know the Lord. I worry about you having to deal with so many deaths at one time. Doctors have been known to be wrong and who knows how long any shall last. I can definitely understand your grandma not wanting her daughter to die...

Re: Xeloda Blessing

I also use the same, but a little different. Mine is praying to the Lord, then speaking to the cancer and now thanks to another CC/FB friend I'm picturing pacman eating and devouring those cancer cells:) I have to download that game on my puter and play it so I can really see it at work. I put my mo...

My HONEST TO GOD experience with a colostomy or ...

This is my honest to God experience with a colostomy or bag or whatever you want to call it. I had an APR January 16, 2012. I was nervous and not exactly thrilled but thought O.K. if it gets rid of the cancer I can live with this. The first week in the hospital they do most of it and they have you h...

Re: Make Mine a Double

Yay for you Eric :) ! Glad it went so well and you seem to be doing good. I had the epidural with my apr but they had to take out the med that made it work due to bp going down to 72/55 and was in excruciating pain for entire 8 hrs. Finally the anesthesiologist came in and put the drug back in and I...

Re: Don't look if you have a weak stomach

Thanks Bill Lilb for fixing my avatar for me:) I was about 36 there. Advice to those that smoke don't want until your in your 50's you get those ugly lines around the mouth which you can see in the picture of my nose tumor. Ugly! I've been quit for a while and they ain't going no where! So don't do ...

Re: Don't look if you have a weak stomach

It actually looks better than it did Sunday believe it or not. Yes my breathing on that side of the nose was completely 100% occluded, until yesterday when I could blow out of it just slightly, today I can actually suck in just a little so hopefully the chemo is working. It's a mets. from the colore...

Re: Hot dogs cause butt cancer ?

Ha Ha ha ha! Just another thing. Yeah probably not, but what the heck is I don't know. I think we have to go back to 1950's eating, preparing and cooking to do it right. Every once in a while (at a fair, yes definately baseball game a hot dog is awesome). I like corn dogs also at the fair each year.

Don't look if you have a weak stomach/update 3/17

It was all gray, now showing some red so hopefully drying up and dying! http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/rr92/snowmom60/Nosetumor.jpg Hopefully this shows up. http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/rr92/snowmom60/nosepiconeweeklatermarch162012.jpg Is it getting bigger? First round of folfox

So I had folfox 100% of all dosing on Monday. I was worried because the last two times I had Xelox I felt like sh*T! Day of chemo took 8 hours because of no blood return on port and they looked at tumor in nose and didn't want to do chemo, wanted me to go to ENT and have it cut out. That was NP, she...
