Re: WEED.

Legalization or serious decriminalization is definitely to be seen in the future. That coming from the "Rockefller Law" state. Eighteen year old me jumping for joy, 30 year old me, not so much. Mother of twenty something jumping for joy. Fifty four with an uncertain health-future jumping f...

Re: WEED.

Oh vaporizing. Now it's clear. Found one of those in son's bedroom. Maybe I should keep it in case I need it down the line. :D

Re: A Different; Better Life

Thanks Justin, sometimes we need a reminder to live and you eloquently stated it for today. I too have seized the opportunity; taken the roadblocks and turned them into positives. Each day my operative word is joy. I pray/meditate daily, surround myself with enjoyable folks (on line and off.) Someti...

Re: Slowing down ileostomy

Recommended on ostomy site, marshmallows...seriously. If you're watching sugar intake they may not be a good thing, but eating peanut butter with Fluffernutter helped me as needed.

Re: Hi, i'm Teddi

Hi Teddi,
I was the same age at diagnosis. Babies at time were 18 and 19. The road hard and long, but you will do it for them. Next year my daughter will walk down the aisle in July and I'm so happy cancer didn't win.
Hang in and this is a great group so keep coming back.

Marco,
Be at peace, be pain free and please shine your light brightly so that when it is time for others to be released they will find you. Godspeed.

Re: Very bad news prior to follow up biliary drain surgery

Certainly not the news you wished for...or that we wished for you. As people have stated previously organized religion is a building and the men and women who are in charge are people like you and I. Faith is personal, but in all honesty the one true faith based organization I stand behind 1000% is ...

Re: Just arrived home after 20 days in the hospital... with

Hi Alan, Just caught up with this and sorry you left the big house in a very unexpected manner. You sound to be coping with the external, and with that much surprise, that's truly impressive. As for the folks that don't "get" it, that's what we are here for. Continue your heal and perhaps ...

Re: Hello From NJ

Just crazy. I am sorry for your family's troubles, I can't imagine being the parents and watching this; though on the flip side the poor children have to do it too, so there you go with the unfairness again. Yes, this is a symptomless disease, and those who do become symptomatic are either lucky or ...

Re: Calling time on your reversal

If your surgeon agrees and you seem to be very interested, just go for it. Take it from me; I didn't and live in diapers and discomfort because I am one of the people who just can't shoot the gun. As I type this, I have just spent a week home because of this. Painful constipation six days and now tw...

Re: question for all survivors

This is when I call it the gift of Cancer as the kindness of people comes through like never before. My blessings are my family and huge support group of friends and strangers. I never would have known how kind people could be until Cancer came into my life. I have since made it my daily work to be ...

Not over reacting at all. Call your doc. Even though you're away from home the doc is the one to put your mind at ease or recommend next step. Best to you both.

Re: New dx colorectal ca June 9 2014

Sending you special prayers and thoughts. Diagnosed at stage II and did 5FU (liquid form of Xeloda I believe) and radiation. I wasn't offered Xeloda but from everything I've read here, people do seem to do well managing the symptoms that may occur. Should I have need in future, I would welcome it. R...
