Re: MGD007 compound specifially for advanced colorectal cancer

Im pretty sure we had a member here who was on an MGD0007 trial, she was young and had young children. I dont remember her name but I think she was on the 2015 Colondar? The name Lindsey comes to mind. In any case, she had a partial response, but then she either had progression or the drug became to...

Re: Tom marsilje

I'm at a loss, heartbroken, my God-- I can't believe it. I knew things were bad over the last week due to his silence on FB, but I didnt expect this to happen so soon. Tom was a true cancer warrior, a brilliant doctor and scientist, and the absolute best advocate for CRC awareness and treatment on t...

Update on DK (Dr. Tom Marsilje)...

DK rarely posts here anymore, but still updates his FB and blog. He has been such a help and inspiration to so many here , I just wanted to "forward" info from his blog to here so others here concerned about him (like me) , can see how he's doing. It appears he has some brain mets now, but...

Re: Stella (vilca11) went home (more than a month ago)

This is so sad, may she rest in peace. Stella was a fighter for sure, undergoing any and all kinds of treatments that might help, and she was very knowledgeable and sweet. :(

Re: Too many tumors to count... newbie here

3 Options for Liver Tumors--- Had I known this info at the beginning of my moms diagnosis we would have done at least one: 1.)HAI with Dr. Kemeny at MSK-- could shrink tumors in liver to point of resection. 2.)SIRT (Selective Internal Radiation Therapy) -- A radioactive solution is injected into you...

Re: My Wife Passed Away Today

I'm so very sorry. Its only been a few days it seems since you let us know how she was doing, I'm sure her passing so quickly was not expected. Its hard to find any positive in times like this but I'm glad to hear she was without pain. May God bless and have mercy on her soul and you and your family...

Re: BrownBagger ....... I don't know what to say

I'm so sorry to hear this. Eric was a very positive force on here, and an inspiration to others with his super-human number of chemo rounds and very active lifestyle. This is a shock to me, I had no idea he was doing any worse than he had been in the past couple years. May he rest in peace....

Re: Paracentesis questions for those of you that have had one done.

Michelle, the fluid can perhaps vary a little, but my moms was a thin, clear, bright yellow fluid. Almost like urine. The paracentesis was a simple outpatient procedure. After a couple paracentesis procedures though, we elected to have the catheter installed. It was very easy to use the drainage kit...
