Re: HIPEC and Liver resection next Tuesday!

I completely echo what skifletch said. I was young, healthy, in great shape, and this surgery knocked me down. I knew I would have a lot of couch time and thought "oh it will be fine, I'll watch tons of hbo shows and cooking reality tv" but mentally it was so hard. The days seemed to last ...

Re: Chemo after HIPEC

I had HIPEC along with hysterectomy, colon resection, gallbladder, and appendix out in August 2013. I had a difficult recover, needed a temporary illeostomy, abscess clean out surgery, a liver resection in November, ostomy reversal, infection, fistula, another abscess clean out surgery. Oy. We opted...

Re: Our Lisa, UPDATE

This is so sad. We shared such similar diagnoses. Age range, and birthday. I communicated with her often via pm but stopped hearing from her. So unfair. May she be free now I hope.

Re: Would love to hear from those on anxiety medications!

I also take Ativan for occasional bouts of anxiety and also at night to sleep. I only take .5 mg, and have a scrip for 30 pills for 30 days. When I lay down at night is when my brain starts racing, replaying the events of the last year, and the what ifs of the future. I'm also on a low dose (10mg) P...

Re: My last post

Marco, I am so incredibly sad with this news. You have been such a positive support for me during my struggles with surgeries, hipec, illeostomy. I can't imagine a world without you. I've always felt we were kindred spirits on this journey. I will keep fighting for you. I have always wanted to visit...

Marco,
Sono felice per te. Appendere in là. So che gli ospedali non sono divertenti.

Took 5 years of Italian! I hope I got some of that correct! Xoxo
