Re: O/T poll: .. just asking... ????

Hey they must have liked your style just as it was when they asked you to moderate. Is it an appointed position or a nominated position? I nominate the voice of reason "Cheesehead" , and the lovely Rix... . But I would not wish them to change... Lol  Stu I hired him and he had transf...

Re: Checking In.........

Thank You for all the responses! JBinNJ - Yes I DO believe people thrive on drama and just because you have cancer does not mean you do not want drama, and they way things go around here sometimes proves my point. But thank you for note! :) cptmac - Breaks are great as you said.....and that is what ...

Checking In.........

Hi Everyone! Not sure where to start?! I have been on sabbatical and I did not realize it has been since April that I posted, I told my fellow Mods I was doing so and Jayne was put “In Charge”. I popped in this week and I guess we had another fire storm come through just the EB n Flow of the forum. ...

Re: What the heck is Normal anymore?

I am going to answer your subject line of "What The Heck Is Normal Anymore?" One thing you have to learn is there is NO MORE NORMAL, once you have had cancer and face what you all have and most of have, we can NEVER GO BACK TO NORMAL! You now have a "New Normal", your baseline of...

Re: Death - a Topic None of us want to talk about but......

Bought and read your mom's book. I'm a very strong Christian from a family who thinks they are spiritual. My dad swears that the reason my brother got a flat tire was because my 106 year old great-aunt had died. I think this book helps both camps. It would appeal to my Christian husband and daughte...

Re: Death - a Topic None of us want to talk about but......

The truth is, none of us are prepared. My step father was in his 90's and had been sick for several years. It was just heartbreaking. You know, we are also uneducated about paperwork and preparation (like Bev mentioned when her husband was dx'd). Where's the will? How many death certificates do we ...

Re: EVERYONE PLEASE READ

Done. And am I going to play a cancer card here? You bet I am. Feeling too lazy to pick up the phone? Then think of Gaelen. She hauled herself to D.C. so she could meet with these folks in person and give it her all. It wasn't easy and it took a tremendous toll on her physically - but she was there...

Re: Possible taboo subject ? Advice please ?

I sometimes feel like a broken record telling my story, but there are so many new people I will repeat it again, old-timers can move on. I had a Temp Ileo and now a permanent colostomy, Stage III Rectal and WAS married for 24 years. My husband from the get go thought MY CANCER ruined HIS LIFE and di...
