Re: on and off bleeding for 5 years - no pain

As stated, usual method includes sedation - so you won't feel anything during scope - unless you're in an area where they don't put you under. Scope is best option to find out the cause of lower GI bleeding. Nothing else can really confirm the reason. I had zero weight loss prior to my diagnosis. In...

Re: on and off bleeding for 5 years - no pain

When in doubt, Scope it out! Seriously any sign of blood needs to have a scope, and not just an anoscope, or sigmoidscope - scope the whole enchilada. I first started having some mild bleeding around 29 years of age. All the docs just said its most likely some hemorrhoids, etc.. etc.. I had my first...

Re: A sore bottom- diaper rash med recommendation?

LOL what exactly is this Butt Paste? So far I've not used anything, but Nurse recommended Desitin to me this past week when I started developing diarrhea. I did get some in case it keeps happening. Otherwise I generally hop directly into the shower and use my removable shower head to thoroughly clea...

Re: Things Not to Say and the Responses I want to Make (Rant)

I fully understand. For example my GF, which I hadn't seen for several months when I first told her I was diagnosed with CRC said this - "If you seek western medicine, you will die." - yes she said this point blank. She told me to drop everything I was doing and go with her to India to pur...

Re: NEWS from ongoing ASCO 2017: shorter chemo for stage III OK

i"m wondering - has anyone had their oncologist bring this up and suggest it on their own? I'm guessing most must know of the study. That's a very good question. One that I've thought about as well. I wonder, if there is concern on the part of cancer treatment centers about the consequences of...

Re: Surgery prep day!

Sounds like you are in good hands.
I'm sure you'll do fine. In fact you've already done the chemo-radiation.
This surgical part, while not easy, might seem like a walk in the park in comparison to the chemo and radiation.

Re: NEWS from ongoing ASCO 2017: shorter chemo for stage III OK

I'll be talking with my ONC about this Tuesday when I go in for treatment #2. First one was pretty smooth, only had mild first bite syndrome for about 24 hours, tired day after disconnect - otherwise good to go. When first discussing with my ONC he suggested I go at least 8 session as that seemed t...

Have you had any more chest pain?
If you do, you might just go to ER. That's one way to fast track a trip to cardio.
If not hopefully its all good and you can wait it out.

Re: what should I expect on the first day of chemo?

Well round 3 really wiped me out. Feeling more tired than the previous 2 rounds, but at least all other side effects are minimal. On the bright side, I'm a quarter of the way done! I still can't believe how fast things move. 3 months ago I was a normal 36 yr old. Now I've had 3 ft of colon removed ...

Re: Hellooo Neuropathyiiiiiiiiiii

When there were only 10 ml left from my Oxi it has begun: neuropathy! Didn't feel my mouth, my hands and feet startet to feel funny.. sting...
