Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

I am home from NIH Just wanted to let everyone know I was released on Saturday. I truly believe I received the best care from them. The chemo is tough. Il2 is worse. The Doctors and nurses do a great job getting you through it. I received 98 billion cells truly amazing. I was only able to handle 4 d...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Had a ct scan today. It showed no changes in lung tumors. No new tumors. I have had 6 rounds of irritican and vectabix. Decided to stop chemo until I go to NIH. My magnesium and potassium is low and will be getting iv for that. Hopefully I will regain some energy before I go to NIH. Hope I'm making ...

Re: Chemo Nausea

I take Zofran and compazine also but I find if I snack on crackers, dried cereal it helps with mild nausea. Also drinking root beer seems to settle my stomach the best. I'm told it's the sassafras

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Can't wait to read your article! I haven't heard from NIH since they harvest my tumors. The waiting is nerve racking. I have started chemo in Pittsburgh. Vectabix and irinotecan 2 rounds so far. I'm blessed the rash and some fatigue are my worse side effects so far. Hasn't stopped me from loving on ...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Oct 27th I had 2 tumors removed from my right lung at NIH. What a wonderful place! I had great care. I spent the night in ICU and was transferred to a floor at 8am. At first when I woke from surgery I had alot of pain, but the nurses and doctors worked hard to get it controlled. I was up walking and...

Update - John had his MRI of brain and aphoresis this week along with consult with thoracic surgeon. He is going to have surgery 10/20 for tumor harvest. It was an interesting visit - the surgeon went out of his way to tell my husband how risky this was, he already has a L upper lobectomy, so putti...
