Re: Traveling for surgery

HildaC My first surgery was an emergency and I was 8 hours from home. I recouped in the hospital and husband bought a Costco sleeping pad for the back of the car that I laid on for the ride home. It wasn't fun but flying is a two leg thing where I was and driving gave us control to stop when we need...

Re: It's me, whining (no..a little scared) again

Hi Bev, I too am traumatized by the yellow stuff. Long story but it makes me sick. I use Osmoprep. You swallow pills and then swig water or whatever and it makes the junk in your trunk. Just a thought. Also, husband just had his (found 6 polyps too) whew! He did Miralax with dulcolax. It worked smoo...

Stage IV Colon Cancer Thriver Story

Dear Clubbers, I caught a bit of this debate and was seriously impressed with this man. Then I learned the rest of the story. He gets told in 2006 he has stage IV colon cancer and that it is as bad as it gets. He goes to the next doc and is told that he has a 5% chance of even being alive 3 years fr...

Re: Question about Konsyl or other Fiber Supplements

I was nervous to try fiber also. I know we don't want to upset the apple cart. My doc has used it everyday since 1998. He swigs it with water spiked with OJ every morning. His main gig is helping folks with fissures and 'roids. I had a follow up visit with him and told him I was worried about living...

Re: Has anyone experienced a steady decrease in CEA?

Hi Liz,

My CEA dropped dramatically during chemo. It went from 56 to 16 and then 1.3 after liver surgery.

I think it tells you that the chemo is slamming her cancer.

Re: Stage 4 can be beat!

Hey Scott G, You helped to save my life. I am sure of it. When I was looking for HIPEC, you were the only survivor I could find to read about! I think you were an important part of making HIPEC explode. I can't wait for the day when it is standard procedure during the initial surgery. Best Wishes, J...

Re: HIPEC

Hi There, I had HIPEC in Dec '08. I am similar to you as it was in one ovary and then showed up a year later in the other ovary. I highly recommend you have it done by a very experienced HIPEC surgeon. I have written about it extensively on this site. Just click on my name and read my posts. Ski Fle...

Re: Fissure

Belle, Absolutely gave me better results. I am soooooo passionate about this product. The doc (proctologist and colorectal surgeon) says a ton of his patients say that the KONSYL is the ticket. I have the look alike product from CVS with the EXACT ingredients and it is working well. I need it and wa...
