Re: Late Season Garden Harvest

Eric the spuds look really good. What is the texture like? I haven't attempted spuds here in Portland 'cause clayey soul. Tried to grow carrots and the were smushed. Would have to dig deep and prepare soil.

Re: Had a scare - lesson learned!

Jaynee thank you for the tip. I'm always thankful for people like you who do the research that I find so difficult to do myself. That's why this forum is so helpful.

Re: sorry .. CRguy O/T again ....

We've had a few bicycle deaths here in Portland on that right hand turn - dangerous and I don't understand why anyone would ride in traffic with buds on  - we need a "stupid" smiley.

Re: BrownBagger Update

Hey BB - sorry to hear about your difficulties. You are one tough mother. God bless you. I've been thinking about you and gardening and wood stacking. Wondering where your pictures were. I see you had other priorities and I'm thankful you checked in. May the force be with you.

Peace,

Kristi

Re: Hands foot syndrom

I was on Xeloda and had a bad case of HFS that lasted 3 years. I was told by a doctor in a different system that I might be a bad metabolizer meaning that the chemo didn't leave my body fast enough. I still have sensitive feed and hands at times. The thing that helped me most was SOFT SOFT stuff. Wo...

Hey Frenchie, I'm glad you're on the right side of the grass as well. Good for you and sorry about your pain. All I can give you is moral support and my new quote:

"I have cancer courage"

Got replumbed

So I was thinking about how my body has changed since my diagnosis and I was thinking that I've been replumbed and what a good answer that would be to peoples inquiries as to what happened? "I got replumbed." This does two things: 1) It's very specific and does say what happened 2) It will...

Re: Itchy?

Just a suggestion regarding HOW to scratch. Having worked in a hospital for years I was aware of how dangerous scratching can be for the skin and the nurses suggested slapping the itch and it does work - preferably the arms and legs. You don't necessarily slap hard, but it helps. Give it a try. Peac...

Ugg what a pain in the ass. I feel for you and know exactly what your going threw.. Our colons are not meant to be touched and yours is obviously still pissed off at you. It does take a long time for it to learn its roll again. For me the big turning point was at five months. I do watch what I eat ...

Re: "Why so serious"?

I wanted to post a "sing along" thread - the other day as I was stepping into the shower after a small accident (shart), I was singing to myself: "I'm gonna wash my ass - 'cause I pooped in my pants." I often find myself making up dittys that are in one way or another related to ...

Re: Pelvic floor (ass) pain

Kristi: Your hostility toward me is obvious. I am on Hospice, myself. Not for cancer but for my own life threatening conditions. Your lack of common decency to me is not appealing. My work here in honoring Belle is done. I just find it unfortunate of you to feel the need to attack me. I have more i...
