Re: RIP David Losh

I am sorry. I also didn't realize that he wasn't doing well. He was very spirited and his presence will be missed on this board. RIP.

Re: New Here and Advice needed about my Mom

I am so sorry for what your mom and family are going through. I'd say fly home. Take out a loan if you have to. A few years ago, and after years of trying, I found a tenure-track job that was far from my family and bought a house. I was super-lucky to get that job--the market was brutal and 200 othe...

Re: my dad passed away peacefully after a long battle of 5 y

Dear Ritu, I remember your posts from before. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and so glad that your father's passing was peaceful and that he was surrounded by loving family. From what you wrote before, your father sounds like he was an amazing person. My heart goes out to you. It is so random t...

Re: SkiFletch- How Are You?

Wasn't he supposed to get deported too? I'm so glad cancer is no longer a part of his life...but like all of you - I sure do miss him around here. Fletch is a U.S. citizen as far as I know. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY. Don't know where we'd deport him to. Maybe from the cath lab to the maternity...

Re: The end is near

D.--first off no worries; I will not repeat anything you said here on Facebook. I am so sorry for what you went through. She said on here once that she wanted to go down fighting, and she did. You ask whether it's better to be honest with people about what the end was like. I was friends with your w...

Re: Goodbye Tawni's Mom, and rest in peace

Thank you for the beautiful post. Do you know who is taking care of Tawni? She and I discussed how having our dogs placed well was the most important thing, and she was unsure at the time about that. Hello Skypup. I don't know, unfortunately, what plans Kathy made for Tawni. During Kathy's long hos...

Goodbye Tawni's Mom, and rest in peace

I heard via Facebook this morning that Kathy ("Tawni's Mom") had passed. Her husband also updated her last thread: http://coloncancersupport.colonclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44037 I thought I would start a special thread for her. I met her on here about a year ago; she and my mom were...

Re: The end is near

I was so worried when she stopped updating; it was unlike her.

I hope it was an easy passing.

Thank you for the update. I am so sorry for your loss and I am without words. I will miss her so much.

Re: The end is near

I hope you get out of the hospital and home soon, and are comfortable, and with Tawni and family.

I haven't written much, as I haven't wanted to burden you. But I think of you and Tawni all the time.

Please let me know, as always, if there is any way I can help.

Re: Silly Question- Ct Scans Machines

I have a question about the CT scans. The scans of my wife says 5mm slices. I don't know how old that machine is but on the Notice board in the imaging Dept it says 2005. I am asking because i sent her CT scans copies to two places and one says that the two nodule (6mm and 7mm) looks Infection. The...

Re: Waiting for mom's scan results: First scan after treatm

Thank you sunwaterandsky. We saw the onc--and, at the moment, it seems Mom's scans are NED. So we have three months of peace until her next follow-up appointment--and that gives me three months of peace of mind to have my mom's first grandbaby. :) Thank you everyone for the good wishes and kind words.

Re: Waiting for mom's scan results: First scan after treatm

Thank you for your kindness, mymom and Maia. I actually managed to sleep last night, surprisingly. I am in my office now, but I am on edge and getting no work done.

Let's see how things go today.
