Re: Please help! Do I have colon cancer? `

You probably do not have colon cancer, but the only definitive test is a colonoscopy. Push, and I mean push, until you get one. It's the only way to know for sure.

Re: To Sue or Not to Sue

Andy, Looking at your signature, it seems this all happened almost two years ago. I sincerely believe that suing someone is not the answer especially as that nurse may not even be at the hospital. However, you need to find peace. Make a list of all that was awful and a list of all the "nice nur...

Re: Anyone else take Dicetel?

Have you ever just tried plain old psyllium? Not been fiber or Metamucil, but the stuff that makes your drink or whatever get thick in about 5 seconds? I stir it into a cup of yogurt and then chew my way through. Works the best for me to bulk things up and for my husband who suffers from chronic con...

Re: OT had rough week

I'm so sorry to hear your news and I hope surgery went well this morning. Just wanted to let you know that Arizona is a community property state. Basically. That means that you are entitled to half of everything. Please call a lawyer as soon as you are able. Do not agree to anything until you talk t...

Saying goodbye

Almost 4 years ago, I came here to learn as I had a wacko diagnosis... See my sig for that if you are interested. I was one of the fortunate ones. I was Stage 0. At that time, I kept very quiet because Stage 0's weren't exactly welcomed. Belle told me to continue to spread the word about screening, ...

Re: Polyp was benign and still having cramping/pain

Great news on the polyp!!! I also kinda wonder if you wouldn't benefit a lot from just plain exercise as in walking. Sometimes a sedentary lifestyle is our own worst enemy. I think your surgery was long enough ago that it would be hard for you to overdo.

Re: Second opinions

My first thought, almost, was getting a second opinion. My gut feeling was well founded as the first GI told me I had a T3 tumor based on EUS, that I need chemo/rad, rest, APR and follow-up chemo. 2nd opinion found a localized 5 cm mass that was only in the lining of the rectum. Stage 0. Follow ups ...

Re: Discussions about Death

While I am a strong Christian, I firmly believe that it is up to each person to form their own belief system. I am certainly not offended by those who believe differently than I do, but I can't understand why someone would be offended by what I choose to believe.
