Re: Any MSI Stable, BRAF mutant peeps with successful immunotherapy?

Hi, i am KRAS wild, BRAF mutant. Just awaiting a node biopsy to see if I go back into treatment. There is a clinical trial with Cleveland Clinic suggested to me by my oncologist. It is Folfiri, vectibix and Zolbaref mix. Zolbaref is what they have had good success with in BRAF melanoma patients so t...

Re: my husband wants to stop chemo and opt for alternative. help!

Hi. I kind of understand where your DH may be coming from. While I have had only one round of chemo for me the past year has been non stop, surgeries, scans, chemo, biopsies, more surgery, more biopsies, more scans and another surgery and biopsy coming up in the next weeks. I realized yesterday, I a...

Re: Trouble with Appendix ca

My primary was DX as appendix. The tumor grew and attached to the outside of my colon.

I did Surgey and then FOLFOX. Primary clear since then.

Re: Now a lung met...what to do ?

Zingy, sorry to hear about your double trouble!

I had a biopsy done on the largest of the innumerable nodules they found last month. Very very small and benign they say. Watch and wait for me with regards the lungs. For me this was the best option as had too many to consider surgical removal.

Re: Question for Stage IVs

I had a very short period of three months from Feb to May this year but that said in hindsight the nodes were already there but the chemo had kept them at bay.

If at first you don't succeed, try try again!

Re: The Power of a simple smile!

The power of a smile is a beautiful thing. I too smile my way through my days, good and bad! Anywhere ... You pass someone and smile and even if they look like there having a glum day they will smile back and that my friends is the feel good factor! At the chemo clinic no matter how bad it was I tri...

Hi Cherie,

From the sounds the numbers are referring to the pictures and non hypermetabolic is a good thing.

Get the docs to explain but it sounds like you may well have turned this around!

Go girl

Re: Day 1 FOLFOX with throat issues.

Same for me, every infusion and progressively for longer each time.

Hot tea and coffee and kept water and juice on the kitchen bench, had cravings for OJ!

In the end I started to get used to it and even had ice cream and tolerate the sensation, like the new norm.

The roller coaster ride continues .....

After the fantastic news that the lung biopsy was benign today I went to plastic surgeon about my nose issue. Seems it does not look good .... He is not prepared to biopsy and will go straight for excision. He is concerned it is something to do with my earlier melanoma but then it could be a met fro...

Re: Why I stopped posting

I am really sorry to say this but I found your reply rude and offensive and totally inappropriate. Your opinion in fine, own it, but the way you conveyed it was harsh and I imagine really upsetting to many. As a one year in Stage IV'er who has a crap prognosis and has been to hell and back in a very...
