Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Thanks for the positive feedback on the news story everyone!

Some trivia for you: In the clip that showed me and Patrick (dh2sleen) sitting on a couch looking at his phone, we were texting w/ColonTalk's own Dr. Tom (DK37) :)

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Joan Lunden's interview w/Dr. Rosenberg and me for the Today Show broadcast will air on Monday, Feb. 6 on NBC during the 8AM (Eastern) hour. In anticipation of this, NCI/NIH launched a new website this week which provides preliminary information about Adoptive Cell Therapy (the TIL trial). You can f...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Happy New Year! My tenth (Ten?!? I can hardly believe this) follow-up after TIL therapy was last week. My scans are clear; I'm still NED! Dr. Rosenberg and I were approached by NBC to do an interview together for the Today show, and the NBC Nightly News. We each agreed, and so Joan Lunden interviewe...

It is! This trial big on the WAITING. You can email your fellow for an update--they are used to that, so don't feel like you are bothering them or anything.

Glad to read this update :)

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Tomorrow, Dec. 8, the NEJM will publish Dr. Tran's article about my case. At my November follow-up, Dr. Rosenberg asked whether I would agree to speak to the press, since the NEJM article will not identify me by name. I agreed. Since then, three different print media outlets have contacted me for in...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

I am back from follow-up #9. Seems they want to keep scanning me every three months or so. This set of scans showed that ALL IS WELL, still. Exciting news this time is that Dr. Rosenberg met with me in the clinic. He informed me that the NEJM will be publishing the story of my case in a few weeks. I...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

I received an email saying that NCI does "off site registration" for overseas patients. However, they require their guinea pigs to remain in the US for 3-4 months after treatment. This is great news! Were you asking specifically about the TIL trial? I had different information when it cam...
