Re: New member to the Colon Club and an Olymphian to boot

I'm always so sorry to hear about people with this terrible disease, but especially when they have little ones :(. My husband is Stage IV as well, and we have young kids, also. Your son will still need to be tested starting at least 10 years younger than the age you were at diagnosis to be on the sa...

Re: Pooping bits of tissue?

It could be intestinal lining sloughing off, as well. I believe that can happen with radiation.

Pulmonary Embolism while on Avastin - anyone else?

Two weeks ago, we found out that my husband had a pulmonary embolism, likely due to the Avastin he was getting alongside FOLFIRI. This thing is kicking his butt...fatigue, pain, no endurance for anything, really. Thankfully he was able to sit & be present at our daughter's fifth birthday party y...

Re: Need some help

My hubs was having pain on the right side under the rib cage, especially when breathing deeply. It is a pulmonary embolism! Did they do any scans ...

Re: New here!

My husband's colonoscopy was done by a general surgeon, too; he told us it was cancer when we met with him after the procedure, so, maybe yours is benign! Should you have any more kids & need a colonoscopy during the time you are breastfeeding, with most preps you can continue to breastfeed, and...

Re: Supplements, yay or nay? Lycopene, grapeseed extract, reseveratrol, curcumin

Thanks, all! I should have explained further; I'm not looking for anything to replace chemo, but in addition. We are 10 treatments (of presumably lifelong chemo) in. I know that sometimes, even if only in certain cases, other things than just chemo may be even of slight benefit. It's nice to have so...
