Re: A Difficult Year

I'm really sorry for all you have been through. What a truly horrible year. I hope you and your husband continue to mend, and that there is an abundance of lovely memories of your beloved daughter and your kitty.

Warm best wishes to you.

O/T my cancer support doggy

My beloved pup Luc passed away Thursday night. He was an awesome, sweet loving dog. He never left my side during the five years of the worst of the cancer. I loved him very much. Life will be a lot harder without him. I am astonished by the load of grief we accumulate in our lives. Thank you, CR, fo...

Re: Meeting with liver surgeon tomorrow

The gall bladder is often removed at the time of liver resection. The primary reason for this is that if gall bladder disease were to develop, getting to the organ to take it out can be VERY difficult due to scar tissue from the liver resection.

[b] This is about where I am with Xeloda and radiation. I don't have the pee issues but the rest sounds like me. For me, the tumor popped out two months ago and I had to pop it back in but it is stuck now. That it can move around in your mother may be a good sign as it means that it hasn't invaded ...

Re: Second opinions? Stomach cancer cells?

Mike, Are you not close to Dartmouth-Hitchcock? It's an excellent facility. Great docs and fully staffed and equipped. Both my husband and I got cancer care there, and we are delighted with the place. Best wishes to you. Someone asked about FOLFIRI. The folfiri substitutes the oxy with irinotecan. I...

I'm so sorry for the passing of your wife. It's a comfort, I hope, that you were able to be with her. What a hard time you, your wife and fmaily have had. Rest now, whenever you can.

A little help please

Hi.

I have a private message that I guess I was unable to open because my inbox was full. After 10 minutes of rhesus monkey stuff I was able to delete some messages. Now I have "space" but I'm getting a message that says I'm not authorized to read new mail?? Can anyone help? Thanks a lot.

When I first joined the forum almost 8 years ago, the outlook for my survival was extremely poor. I made it through all the chemos/surgeries an...
