Re: Eating plan: Keto OR Vegan OR Well-Balanced??

Hi Kelsi, congratulations on your Chemo Completion. Myself I started a Ketogenic diet about 2 months after treatment ended. It was very difficult to begin, the keto flu seemed more difficult to me post treatment. Energy, etc were not quite back to snuff. After a couple weeks things faired much bette...

Re: Lung Cryoablation

Yep, did a small resection on the liver and that went great. Probably one of the easiest surgeries I’ve had. Then on the follow up for that surgery they found a spot in my lungs had grown to 4mm. Still too tiny to do anything about so we waited 3 months and scanned again. This time it had grown to ...

Re: Lung Cryoablation

Hi Tdubz. Good to see you!

I can't provide any lung cryo info - sorry.
So I take it you got the liver situation sussed out? Last I recall you had what appeared to be recurrence near the gallbladder?

I hope everything goes well for you.

Re: Good news (and diarrhea) from scan

Hey all! Had my 2 year scan today. My appointment for results was suppose to be Thursday, so I knew the wait would be rough. However, they called me today! When I saw that number I about fell over- assuming the worst. But it was good news. Normal scans, normal CEA! Just thought I’d hop on here to s...

2 year scan

Hi all. Yesterday I had my 2 year CT-Scan. I had very heavy scanxiety given it'd been a year since the last scan. My CEA levels have been hovering 2.5-2.8. I've had some mild abdominal discomfort from time to time. Overall, my energy levels and overall health seemed pretty good. Long story short the...

Re: Made it almost 2 years, now it’s back. Any MD Anderson advice?

I haven’t been here in a while? Tdubz, I just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear about this. I was just recently wondering about you, as I recalled the elevated liver enzymes awhile ago. You know our diagnosis and treatments were just a week or two apart. I hope they can get the tumor out and that you...

Nice contributions everyone! peanut...you have such a great view, hazy or not! I fully agree. That's one incredible view to be able to take in daily! Also that vast hedge makes my arms sore from the thought of all the trimming. Hah! Here are some pics around the Tri-Cities. I have to admit that none...

Port Removed - 1.5 years later.

Just finished my port removal surgery a few hours ago. :) Piece of cake in comparison to all the other surgeries/procedures. Took all of 20 minutes or so once the Doc got all situated. Being in 1.5 years, my body had really locked it in place. So gave the Doc a little more work than the norm. Stitch...

Re: Almost 6 years

Hi All 6 years ago I purchased a new house. As part of that purchase my wife insisted I get the persistent bleeding that the doctors kept telling me was due to a myriad of reasons that had me doing tests for 6 months. I was able to get a colonoscopy, woke up to find out I had cancer, did a ct scan,...

Re: Scan Results 15 months post surgery. NDED vs NED?

Thank you Lord! My lowest recorded CEA level - Ever! 1.5! Previous lowest was right after surgery with 1.7. So good today for labs, saw 2 of my favorite 3 nurses. My all time favorite drew my blood. She's a fellow cancer survivor (breast cancer). I told her about my CEA level conundrum and she told ...

Re: PET Scan results?

Still in limbo basically. Mri showed a 4-5mm mass on the liver, but it only showed up on one of the slides. Onc said it’s too small to biopsy at this point so he wanted to wait for 6 weeks and do another mri to see if there have been any changes. That happens at the end of October so still have a f...
