So I had my first FOLFIRI treatment today. It wasn't as fun as I expected ;-) I usually just slept through FOLFOX infusions, but no such luck today. I has a small allergic reaction and we had to stop the infusion to get some benadryl going. It's a few hours later and I feel like I have a really bad ...
Thanks Maia and CRguy. I'll look at those links before my next appointments.
I'm mss. My onc recommended I try FOLFIRI since it is the usual 2nd line of treatment and often a required step before going down the clinical trial route. Is that trur, or just BS on his part?
So, after 26 cycles (months) on Stivarga, my good luck has ended. My last CT scan showed progression  I've had a crappy few months that can now be explained by cancer progression. What the docs suspected to be a pulmonary embolism turned out to be an enlarged lymph node blocking my middle right...
You're not alone. I also had the same type of pump and had a problem during one of my infusions. I hadn't realised that there was a kink in the iv line that was stopped the infusion for a full 12 hours. Check your line as well as the little clip on the line to make sure that nothing is being squeeze...

Some stereotypes happen to be true :D Thanks for the support everyone. Today is a bit better as I'm not coughing as much....
This isn't going to be a positive post, so feel free to move on if so inclined. Like my signature says, I've been living with stage iv cancer for almost 4 years now (yay me), more than 2 of those on Stivarga. I've been doing well, keeping the lung mets at bay, but the side effects can be a litteral ...
Any word on your lymph nodes? I just did a pet scan today. I have some nodes in my neck showing up. Waiting on radiologist impression. They are on both sides of my neck so hoping it's a cold. No news yet. I'm also waiting on interventional radiologist, since a fine needle aspiration biopsy wasn't p...
Hi Beans, You are not alone with bladder issues. Mine stem from my APR surgery 3.5 years ago. I actually have a mix bag of issues: - like you, I can go for hours without feeling the need to pee. When I do pee, I have to strain like crazy to get a flow going and it can take up to a minute to get it a...
