Re: Popcorn lung nodules?

Thank you all for your replies. Coincidentally, both DH and his brother have worked with pollutants, toxins, asbestos and both have been deep inside nuclear power plants for years. My BIL, for the past 2 years (while DH being treated) has been working on a billion dollar construction site where they...

Dec scan nervous wife

Jan 12 will mark 2 years since DH cancer journey began. Life feels almost (dare I say the word) normal again. DH starts a new job Dec 1, which will be much easier on his body and a better salary. Our 6 kids are doing great, we bought a much needed new car, etc. We recently lost DH dad due to a massi...

Re: Anyone going to "Get Your Rear in Gear" ?

I went to one in my neighborhood in September. It was very relaxed. Id suggest taking a lawn chair and cheering everyone on from the sidelines if you dont feel up to walking. You wont be the only one!

Re: Worried - CEA increase 93 points in 1 week without chemo

My DH doctor initially removed the bolus after 3rd tx due to poor liver function numbers. His last 2 tx were decreased by 20% due to neuropathy. Many members have had their chemo reduced for various reasons.

Re: Another Newbie here - Stage IIIC questions on treatment

My husband also had 13 positive nodes. He is 21 months out from his diagnosis, has had clear scans since surgery, and the dr is talking about removing the port after next scans if they are clear. So yes, 13 is a lot of nodes, but that's what the chemo is for. From what I read, 80% of recurrences hap...

It is always a shock to read that a member has entered hospice. May their family have peace in these next difficult weeks.

I attended Colon Cancer Alliance 5k!

Just want to share my experience attending a colon cancer awareness 5k yesterday. I attended with my husband and our 1 year old (In a stroller). There were about 140 participants, but this was only the 2nd year at this location, so I expect that the number will grow each year. We had the opportunity...

Re: My mother was just diagnosed with colon cancer.. The report is over my head.

A T3 N2b diagnosis is the same as my husband who also had a tumor deposit. It sounds like your mom is stage 3c. Note there is no M category, indicating no distant metastasis are evident to the pathologist. A PET scan may indicate further involvement (lymph nodes, for example). The chemo is a six mon...

IHADCANCER.COM

I came across a new website in my Twitter feed called IHADCANCER.COM. Ibrowsed around a bit yesterday. It is not a colon cancer only website, but it looks like there are a lot of good articles about survivorship in general that may appeal to many on this site. Just thought I'd share@@
