Re: Reversal Log: Experience,Problems, Q & A's

Wallyjr, hopefully you will have a better outcome because you didn't have radiation. I am 10 months out and still having difficulty. I have very little rectum left, but my doctor said my problems are a result of radiation damage. I have major narrowing and have been dilated three times. I'm still ad...

Re: Hot flashes after chemo

Yes! They were horrible. Fortunately, I had treatment during the winter so I just threw off the off the blankets until my blood stopped boiling. My sister bought me a little hand held fan as a joke, but I used it all the time at work. Sorry, I don't have any tips for easing the flashes....they sucke...

Re: How to stop hating chemo day???

Hang in there and try not to dwell on it. I always brought my kindle and ear buds. I cranked up some alternative rock and took a nap. I couldn't stand the constant beeping of the iv' s, it seriously made me nauseous.

Re: A friend pushing 'Snake oil cures"

I am 4 months out from reversal. I am having better days, but I can honestly say that this has been the worst part by far. When I have a particularly bad day my mom asks what I ate. I know she means well but after 4 months of this I really have to bite my tongue. Sometimes I just have bad days....I ...

Re: Just a vent and a warning for anyone looking to buy a bidet.

Thanks, label. That seems to be the only way some companies listen...money. For what it's worth, I have been using a water bottle and it helps. Sending thoughts and prayers for you and your mom. Karin, my daughter has one of those that she uses for cloth diapers. I will have to check into that. Than...

Just a vent and a warning for anyone looking to buy a bidet.

Hello all. I haven't written in a while, but I'm so mad I have to vent. So, I am currently NED and am done with all treatment, but I just had my reversal on 3/19. It didn't take me long to start reading posts about how everyone else handled the everyday torture of going to the bathroom. After review...

Re: I have an innie stoma

Call the ostomy companies and tell them what's going on. They should send you samples that will work for your stoma. I had the same problem until I started using the right bag. Good luck.

Re: Stuck in bed

Cheri, I'm happy to see that you are feeling better. I was having some of the same issues, but mine was due to infection. I also have an ileostomy and it's difficult to deal with until you go through all the trial and error. Everyone's different and you have to see what works for you. I called the o...

Re: HYDRATE

Big Mike, I hope you are feeling better very soon. Thanks for the info, I will be starting chemo/radiation in a few weeks so I will keep this in mind. I think I will ask about Iv fluids as I have an ileostomy and already drink alot and I still feel thirsty. Hang in there and take care.

Dana
