I've been treated under the treatment of KU med folks since last Feb. - Dr Raed Al-Rajabi (oncologist) and Dr. John Ashcraft (colorectal surgeon) and all the great nurses. If you know you are Lynch positive, I would suggest talking to a genetic counselor. They can provide you with actual statistics about the other Lynch cancers (not all Lynch mutations have the same cancer risks) as well as suggest screening schedules. I agree with everyone else on this about doing the chemo. I was in a very similar situation re: staging, etc. I have Lynch syndrome, so the Folfox that I just went through may not even be that effective, but I wanted to make sure just in case.
