I'm praying for a miracle, that the radiation will work, that she will find a trial, or that something will make a difference. My heart goes out to you.

Re: My latest greatest

Belle, I don't have any words of wisdom, but I hope talking to some other doctors can expand the possible range of treatments. If these spots have been around for 2 years and haven't done much in that time, maybe you can still get them under control to the point that surgery or other treatments are ...

Re: Met w/Lung Surgeon Today

Belle, I'm sending prayers, strong thoughts and lots of positive vibes your way and hoping that the lymph nodes aren't cancer so you don't have to go through any of this. It sounds like you have a good surgeon lined up just in case. Have fun in D.C. I hope you have good weather there so you can get ...

Re: Anyone doing the Gerson Therapy?

My husband's onc is a big proponent of exercise. My husband jogged prior to being diagnosed with CC. He now takes an hour long walk every other day and has been feeling good. We try to eat a healthy diet with lots of leafy green salads and stay away from red meat. We've always included lots of legum...

Re: Beta Testing SkiFletch 3.1 - Scan Results Update

Oh, I am sooooooo happy to hear that! Congratulations, Fletch!

My husband had his removed about 6 months ago. It just got to be a hasstle having to have it flushed every 6 to 8 weeks. Removal was easier than having it put in.

Re: Safety Not Guaranteed- The Movie

We saw that a few weeks ago and really liked it also. We rented it from Netflix. There's a movie coming out on DVD on 3/5 called The Intouchables (not the untouchables). We saw it in a theater several months ago and loved it. It's in French with English subtitles but was one of the best movies I saw...

What a great looking couple! Your ski wear looks like space suits! The scenery is so beautiful.

For the new people here, Ski was out skiing during Folfox more than once!

Re: ambient noise machine

The hospital IV alarms always reminded me of the MacDonald's ..."your fries are ready" alarms ! I have also had a multi sound generator alarm clock (and another which also plays CDs so I picked up a set of natural sound ocean waves, thunderstorms and rainforest sounds)...but the built in ...

Re: Folfox shopping list--any suggestions?

My husband never had problems with nausea but he had Zofran in with his chemo and had a supply of pills at home just in case. Stool softeners and Imodium were useful. He'd start out with 2 stool softeners the night before chemo and then 4 or 5 days later he sometimes needed the Imodium to slow thing...
