Re: Does this ever annoy you or make you wonder?

I'm actually glad you posted this. I tend not to reply to all the people who reply to my posts mostly because I'm not sure if I should be bumping up my own post by replying to it so many times. Now I'm seeing I may have been rude by not doing so. Oops! It's hard to determine what posting etiquette i...

Re: Divine Healing

Far left? Now we're adding politics to the mix? I don't think religion has any place on this forum. Does that follow that I'm offended by anyone's religious belief here? I'm pretty sick of the far-right claiming "far left politically correct" discrimination when all it really is is a lack ...

Re: Any Cure for Stage 4 CRC -

I'm sorry you have to be here.

You can see from my signature that I've been NED (no evidence of disease) for almost two years. I had a liver resection and did FOLFOX. If I had a liver recurrence I would absolutely choose a liver resection over RFA.

Re: Very New Here

I'm sorry you have to post here at all, but I do admire you taking so much initiative and pushing to find out what's wrong. Once you finish with the colonoscopy (and hoping all is clear), I hope you'll go and speak with the bariatric surgeon. There are numerous surgical options now. My birth sister ...

Re: Divine Healing

I didn't think there has been anything offensive or judgmental in this thread at all. Basically, I think most people-- including me-- said that whatever helps get you through this shit, then more power to you.

Re: Divine Healing

Congrats on being NED. When I was going through treatment, I found that hearing/reading stories of people who were long-term survivors was very helpful to me in terms of giving me some much-needed hope. I'm glad these stories of "divine healing" have helped you, perhaps in a similar way. S...

Congratulations on the good scan results-- and, of course, on being pain free! That's great to hear.

Re: NED's are you following a diet & exercising or living your life as before?

After I finished chemo I decided to eat a vegan diet and get regular exercise. I've done neither. If I've made any change, it's the addition of marijuana. :-) I'm much heavier than I was before all of this (I never lost pregnancy weight and gained even more during chemo). My oncologist said that whi...

Yay! :D :D

Congratulations, and happy birthday!

I'm almost two years NED- my liver resection was 9/13. I read your story shortly after I was diagnosed. It gave me so much hope. Thank you for sticking around and sharing your experience as a long-term stage 4 survivor.

Re: For those who've done ADAPT -- how much Xeloda do you take?

I'm taking 2000mg Xeloda per day and 400 mg of Celebrex. I'm on a M-F schedule with weekends off. I've had minimal side effects, and my blood work is normal. I've been on this adapt protocol for a few months now. My onc says we'll continue it until I'm five years NED. Yikes- I don't even like to typ...

Re: a serious question that may sound stupid

It's a good question. When I filled out my medication list at my cancer center, I listed marijuana as one of my medications and "half a brownie" as the dose. :-) Then later, I had a situation where my medical records were requested and I realized that was listed on there. As for blood test...
