My wife just had her blood work checked , and we got the news that her CEA is at 0.59......The lowest so far after surgery in jan 2011.....it was 1.30 last time in July.

she is still NED after 22 months with stage 3B . Thank God....

Chemo will not kill me but if cancer returns, It will !!
I will do what ever it takes to prevent Recurrence. But may be it's Just me......
I will do the chemo.... No second thought what so ever about it..

My wife CA19-9 increased to 35 after 2nd infusion of 5FU + Oxi in February 2011. it's less than 8 after that. So , i suppose yes, it can increase with chemo.

Your wife CEA is following exactly my wife's trend. After fininshing chemo It was <0.5 in August 2011, 0.79 in Dec, 1.45 in March and I was so worried like you.
