Re: Cimetidine help!

Hi! I have been taking Cimetidine for almost 5 years I take 2x200 mg twice a day. I take it after I wake up and than one more dose in the evening. I call it my lucky charm. I don't know whether it is really effective but I have been NED, I have been feeling well. It doesn't hurt. It is the doses rec...

Re: Folfirinox - Bad tolerance

I completed 4 doses of FOLFIRINOX and got switched to FOLFOX for 3 doses, than 7 doses of FOLFIRI, 10 doses of 5FU, and 12 doses of hepatic pump chemo. I have been off chemo for 2.5 years, NED. I took Neupogen, 3-5 shots as you did with every FOLFIRINOX. My oncologist was very particular about getti...

Re: Pump people recurrence question

I am approaching 3 years NED with the pump and I will keep it at least until 5 years after surgery. I talked to my surgeon about their statistics. He told me that they have over 50% of recurrences but they can manage most of them using the pump and surgeries. It is just safer to keep the pump. I had...

Re: Dr. D'Angelica or Dr. Kingham

I had extremely positive experience with Dr. D'Angelica in 2015/2016. My surgery was an open surgery and yes, I have scars. However, as 43 years old mother I don't care that much about my belly looks. Good lingerie can do the trick.;) I have had a nice day of New Year's skiing with my family. I was ...

Re: Calling all angels for a Christmas miracle

I am also Dr Kemeny's patient. I have been NED for over 2.5 years. I began my cancer adventure with 10+ liver mets. The largest 7.5cm. I had good response to systemic chemo. I was given maximum 2 years if I responded to chemo at diagnosis. I am still here dping good. I wish you a great consultation!

Re: Met in caudate lobe and artifactual spots

I had a met (around 1.5-2cm) in caudate lobe, removed in 10/2015 by dr. D'Angelica in MSKCC. Still no recurrence. Dr. D'Angelica removed 10+ mets from my liver. They were all badly located near important anatomical structures - vena cava, other blood vessels, also caudate lobe. The caudate lobe met ...

Re: Radiation on mets

Hi! I got diagnosed with 10+ unresectable mets in JUne 2015. I was devastated. Being so sick at just 40 with 6 years old twins... All the doctors I saw gave me maximum 2 years if I responded to chemo. Browsing "colon cancer survivors" I found a very few old timers success stories and 1 nam...

Re: Question for Dr. Kemeny's patients

Hi! I am an older Dr. Kemeny's patient and I live in Atlanta, GA. When I did chemo, I used to alternate. I had systemic chemo infusion and FUDR chemo (HAIP) in NY. 3 days later disconnecting and check up in Atlanta. 2 weeks from chemo in NY I got systemic chemo in Atlanta. This system worked very we...

Re: Lymphedema

Hi Lydia, We were diagnosed at approximately the same time. I remember your story from back then. If I could recommend you something, it would be genetic profiling of the tumor. Sometimes cancer mutates quickly. More mutations could mean more susceptible to chemotherapy meds. I am sure, you have gre...

Re: Stage 4 - liver mets disappeared

It sounds in a way like my situation. I had complete pathological response and complete radiological response in smaller metastases. However, my oncologist suggested using the HAI pump. I would recommend it highly. There is much less recurrence. I posted a few articles about complete radiological an...
