Re: Opinions on alternative treatments?

You’re asking for opinions. So I’ll say stay away from pseudoscience. Save your money, and frankly time, for real medicine. Remember alternative medicine that works is just called “medicine”. If you want to go out on a limb, consider clinical trials - at least you’ll be helping to advance the state...

Re: Regorafenib + Nivolumab - Immunotherapy might work in MSS CRC

Hi, I'm on LTD. I have state health insurance plan. They didn't ask for my tax info, only my health insurance info. It looks like the process go must faster if patient applies directly rather than through doctor's office. Obviously, onc will have to fill out all the info but you can follow up with ...

Re: Intro, and please give your feedback

Tina, You also need to test your MSI status and ideally you should get NGS gene sequencing of your tumor. Maybe they are waiting for surgery to do this, but they should already have biopsy samples. You may have some specific targets that open the door for more effective treatment. Thank you for tha...

Re: Clinical trial NIS793 & PDR001

Hello all. My mum is now a candidate of the clinical trial for NIS793 & PDR001, which we know they are drugs for immunotherapy. We have difficulty choosing between the trial and the current treatment plan (plz see my signature below). Mum’s CEA was 200 last month, but now dropped to 164 with th...

Re: Regorafenib + Nivolumab - Immunotherapy might work in MSS CRC

Hi, I just received a letter from Bristol-Myers Squibb approving my application for free Opdivo (Nivoumab). Huge relieve. I applied it directly to the company and the response time is very quick. After they received completed application, the response time is 24 hours. If the application needs to b...

Re: Chemo has caught up to me yall

You could have a cumulative impact on your blood counts. After about 9 rounds of FOLFOX my hemoglobin was low and made me tired. One blood transfusion helped take care of it. Check your CBC and ask for blood if you think it could help.

Re: Worried... no poop

The OPs symptoms are non-specific. Lots of relatively benign things could cause these symptoms. You should get checked out by a qualified doctor, but stressing about cancer is premature.

Re: Bucket List

In the spirit of bucket list and cancer patients getting out and doing stuff, here is a picture of my wife and I doing our first joint kiteboarding downwinder last week. Before this picture was taken, I had spent a 11 days in the hospital with a neutropenic fever and all kinds of things going wrong....

Re: Regorafenib + Nivolumab - Immunotherapy might work in MSS CRC

FYI, I’m reposting from the MSS Facebook group. There are also two trials one can join to test this combo. Pembrolizumab should be equivalent to nivolumab and there is a trial in Southern California and Florida. There is also a trial recruiting in Florida for reg + Opdivo. NCT03712943 (rego + nivol...

Re: Regorafenib + Nivolumab - Immunotherapy might work in MSS CRC

Thank you for starting this thread, Pyro70. Today, our oncologist recommended the Regorafenib (Stivarga) + Nivolumab (Opdivo) regimen for my dad. Our onc cited this study and informed us that he has several other patients who will start this regimen under his care. My dad will start this regimen in...
