Re: Question on Port Placement

I had the option of being awake or not. I chose not. The whole procedure including the time I had to stay at the hospital after getting the port was a few hours. If I remember correctly, after they put in the port and I was in recovery, they took me to xray to be sure everything was okay. When they ...

Re: O/T - My Lesley went to the Rainbow Bridge this morning

Jaynee, I am so sorry for your loss. Our furbabies are really part of our families, and like I tell my sons, they are the nice child, the one who doesn't talk back. Last month we thought we were going to lose our 10 year old (now 11) black lab retriever. He stopped eating. The vet said that when you...

Re: New to the club

Welcome to the club. Yes, your world is turned upside down, and it's like things are out of your control. It will settle down as time goes on and you get in a routine. Just a few suggestions-write down any questions you have. Write down the answers, or better yet, have someone else write down the an...

Re: Officially NED - my onc visit

Congrats on the good report. I asked my doctor about vit D. He said it's the new "in" vitamin, and I can take it if I want. I do take it.
Also, congrats on your anniversary. We celebrated our 45th this past August.

Congratulations on your scan results. Stability is good, and no, you aren't a wimp. This cancer journey creates havoc with emotions.

Re: O/T - spent the night in ER

Well, I won't say you are looking good, but at least you aren't seriously hurt, except maybe your pride. What's the story when you are out and people see you-you got beat up while walking down the street, or you said something you shouldn't to your wife.

Pico Salax, Propopic Question

If you have used either of these preps, did you also take anything else such as Ducolax? I know that with the Miralx prep you also take Ducolax, but I don't know if this is the case with these preps. My doc doesn't precribe these preps, so I can't ask her office.

Re: O/T

When it comes to Starbuck, I "can't stop grieving." Some losses hit us harder than others. In the case of Liz, I think many of us took that one personally. The video was exquisitely painful. If I ever need a good cry, I think about that video. The other one, ironically, is Patrick and the...

Re: O/T Good Gardening

Tasty looking dish, Kiwi. I can see we have similar tastes in seasonings, etc. Lee, I'm having the same experience with my eggplants. Got one fruit out of five nice, big, healthy-looking plants. I think the cool temps this summer, especially at night, are to blame. Lots of pretty flowers, though. T...
