Re: lymph nodes mets

I also had mets to my abdo-neck lymph nodes like the previous post. I started on Immune therapy with chemo and after 3 sessions I am NED. I am still on chemo at this stage and should soon be going to maintenance chemo. I truly hope it never comes back. I feel awesome on my good days and I want more ...

Re: Immunotherapy clinical trial

I am on Vectibux immuntherapy for Stage 4 colon cancer with Mets to stomach and neck. After just 3 sessions with my Chemo - My PET scans and CT scans came back clear of cancer. NED. I can't speak highly enough of immuntherapy. I know I am not out of the woods yet. I am still on chemo and the Vectibu...

Re: Stage IVa and all clear at 4 years NED

Awesome news. You give me such hope. I was originally Stage 3C until Christmas and then it had spread to neck lymph nodes and I was up graded to Stage 4. I started immune therapy and had no cancer at my PET scan after 3 sessions. I am in remission but still on chemo. I believe I will be here in 5 ye...

Re: Stage 4 - scan reveal No signs of cancer

Thank you for all of your kind replies. I think there is usually so much sadness involved around Stage 4 DX. And maybe the ones that are surviving are getting on with life and we don't hear about the success stories. I am a long way off from being Ok. The head noise is hard. It is hard to relax and ...

Stage 4 - scan reveal No signs of cancer

I am in a little shock at the moment. I had my operation and 2/3rd of my bowel removed Oct 2015. Found that 6 of the 35 Nodes take had cancer. Was told I would need mop up chemo. December 15. Pet scans and CT scans revealed cancer had spread to neck nodes and outside of the abdomen. Just had my PET ...

Re: Switching from FOLFOX to FOLFIRI due to neuropathy

Gosh I don't know what to say. But I am still on Folfox and I have terrible diahorea. To the point I take sometimes 6 tablets a day. I hope if they have to swap me that Folfiri will give me back my feelings in my hands and feet and stop the running to the toilet.

I feel for you.

Re: Stage 4 Survival stories

I had to agree. That post was a bit in my face and not what I was looking for. I was looking for survival stories not people that had passed. I am also well aware that every ones bowel cancer is different. No two are alike. However, I have never been told by my Doctor that having now only lymph node...

Re: I have distant lymph node spread only with no organ involvement

I didn't realise having this was rare. I thought it must have been the normal. Kill it off in the main area by surgery but we missed it by a split second and it spread. I have been told by my Dr to stop googling...... And to trust him..... But its my life.... I hate not having any control on killing...

Re: I have distant lymph node spread only with no organ involvement

WillowNZ that is wonderful news to hear about your Dad. I hadn't realised that it was an uncommon thing to have cancer in the lymph nodes. I just took it as part and parcel. My Dr said he doesn't go on CEA blood results and now that he knows I check. The have been removed from my blood results. Mine...

Re: I have distant lymph node spread only with no organ involvement

Hi there, I initially had a tumour in my bowel which was removed. Stage 3C. Then at a Catscan they found inflammed lymph nodes in my abdomen. Was told probably due to operaton. Ended up back in Hospital a month later and had another CT scan that found inflammed lymph nodes in my neck. Pet Scan and b...

Re: NEWLY DIAGNOSED STAGE 3-C COLON CANCER

I was also at the gym every day training and eating well before I got cancer. I was orginally told I was Stage 3C but I am now Stage 4. It can happen that quickly. I had to chose between living or dying. I chose chemo... I think anyone that dies while doing chemo was probably already very sick.. If ...
