Re: Has anyone heard of schools helping out if you have to move out of state for a month or so?

Please be aware of all tradeoffs. Homeschooled children may lack social skills. They do not know how to play in a sandbox nicely. Are there still sandboxes in the 21st century? I thought they had been banned because of the identified health risks from tomcats doing their business in - what to them ...

If I had words to make a day for you,
I'd sing a morning golden & true.

I have it on good authority, that if you don't break and cry willingly,
...you'll wet the bed at night in your sleep.

Re: Customer and freind committed suicide

It is sad that we dwell in a culture where suicide is usually perceived as a weakness, as giving up. In my country, there is an important dialogue going on concerning Voluntary Assisted Dying. If you google Better Off Dead you will find podcasts and other media. Those of us with cancer expect that w...

I dunno, gail8475, if you feel that all these sorts of things want to grow on you down below....what sort of red meat is it that you think you need to give up? To use a non-science based frame of reference: sounds like your root and sacral & solar plexus chakras are out of whack. I think ...

Re: 6 months after surgery and Cancer is back?!

For those of you who cannot see the forest for the trees.....the OP shares this: I am so lost and confused!!! My poor fiancé is sad and crying. His surgeon and oncologist are in shock!!!! I am suggesting that advancing the plans to marry and introducing a JOYFUL event, supported and surrounded by fr...

Re: 6 months after surgery and Cancer is back?!

In the Book of Genesis, when God proclaims, ''It is not good for man to be alone'', He decides to make for him ''a helper against him''. That's a literal translation. The partner is not to be a yes-person, or even someone to complement him. No. The partner is someone who stands opposite, to find th...

Re: Questions and help for newly diagnosed

My fiancé, Tim, was diagnosed August 17, 2016 with colon cancer after a colonoscopy. Had surgery on September 7, 2016. Went back 2 weeks later and was told it was Stage 3 B. He is 50 years old and has always been healthy. All of this is being done at the V.A. hospital in Tampa. The oncologist we me...

Was thinking about the memorial service for Robin and came across a mention of a folk song by Kate Campbell from the album Visions of Plenty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfWBwEJmNxk Aunt Fidelia Brought the rolls With her Green bean casserole The widow Smith Down the street Dropped by a bowl Of b...

Re: Cancer and Faith?

As an aside, the annual hard-rubbish collection is happening in my community - which is like christmas. I 'rescue' fabrics to use in my textile art and, funnily, today I found a little pillow with silk ribbon roses and an embroidered message: If mums were flowers, I'd pick you. Spring 1994, when my ...

Re: Major Decision Affecting Family Weighing Heavily On My Mind

One of the universals with folks in the medical professions, is that they have zero understanding of your backstory and tend to operate from an ideal: that you have a Hallmark-card family experience replete with warm Kodak moments. Now, just because your doctor finds it "hard to believe" t...

This is what she wrote back in January 2013, she was originally in Tualatin, Oregon. I feel she may be with her ancestors by now. If she had achieved a miraculous healing, would have knocked the Kardashians off social media, yeah? ......- I wouldnt necessarily consider it miraculous if she was stil...
