Re: Hello new to site

I am, and thank you for asking. I have my 12th and last scheduled infusion on the 31st and then a CT scan on August 8th to find out where I'm at. I must say the anxiety is building... I won't be deported as I have a PICC line, so I'll have to come up with a different term for its removal. 8) mob Th...

Re: Hello new to site

Is it just me, or does anyone else get a smile from the last line in your signature: "Deported" ? I'm picturing you being sent to the land of no cancer. 8) mob Thanks mob! My deportation was definitely one of the high points of this experience! I saw you are a stage 3er too. I hope you ar...

Re: Hello new to site

Noticed a different post you made because our age, kids, and staging is so similar. I'm glad it sounds like you're doing well since treatment! Thanks. I am definitely blessed! I was lucky that treatment wasn’t too bad. I just got pushed back from 6 to 9 months scans which is nice. After my next it ...

Re: Young mom, terrified I have cancer

Hello. I am now 38, but I was diagnosed with colon cancer at 35. My wife just had our fourth kid three months prior to diagnosis. It really came out of no where for me because I didn't really have "classic" symptoms but in hindsight I should have known something was wrong. My oldest kiddo ...

Re: Does anyone have a little drinky drink during chemo?

Im a drinker, but not professionally anymore! I did not drink during chemo until towards the end, probably last two months or so and that was during off weeks and only a few times 3 or 4 at most. I would only drink two beers or glasses of wine. I think anything in moderation is fine but I probably w...

Re: Is the day that chemo treatment ...

I felt fine while hooked up to the pump and on disconnect day. I started on Fridays and was unhooked Sunday afternoons. I would start to feel like I was in a weird fog on Monday. I had trouble with fatigue, I was also working full time. I could barely stay awake until 7pm and would sleep until 6:30....

So a couple minutes after I updated, my oncologist texted me with my results. The scan was all clear. God is good!

Re: Scans tomorrow

So I called my oncologist’s office today after not hearing anything about my CT scan from Monday. The nurse advised radiology had not looked at it yet. So now I have to wait until Monday, at least. I’ve never had to wait this long before for my results. Beyond frustrated right now.....

Scans tomorrow

So tomorrow (I guess today) is my 6 month surveillance scans. I’m usually fine until after. Playing the waiting game is where my scanxiety starts. Last scan I had to wait 4 days for my results. It was awful. I think going through surgery and chemo should give you a pass on the wait time. Praying for...

Re: Scanxiety: Anyone else having testing now?

Praying for you Diane. I have my 6 month scan on Monday. I'm usually fine prior, its the waiting after that gets to me. My last scan was on a Monday and I didn’t get the results until Friday. It sucked. The two scans prior I had the results within a couple hours both times. The waiting is horrible.

Re: Colonoscopy tomorrow

Thanks everyone. Everything went well. Doc found one “possible” polyp and removed it so very happy with the results. I can take 12 hours of inconvenience a year for that news! God is good!

Colonoscopy tomorrow

Well I delayed the inevitable long enough. Tomorrow I go in for my colonoscopy and endoscopy. I was due in December but my onco suggested I wait until after the holidays and since it had only been a year from my last scope, I wasn’t complaining. I had to wait until December because I always request ...
