Re: Folfiir runs out of magic. Lonsurf next???

My dad did the folfox and folfiri and now that they have stopped working the oncologist put him on vectibix with nothing else. Dad needed a break from the harsh chemo and is doing good so far after 2 treatments. He likes going for an hour and being done, no bag to go home with him. He is slowly star...

Re: CEA dropped 82 percent after 2 vectibix infusions...

my dad is on vectibix as a single agent as you called it. He has now had 2 infusions of it. The rash is just slightly starting to show on his head so I am told by my mom. He is still tired, but I think that is due to age (81) and having had two years of chemo with no breaks. I think he missed chemo ...

Re: Avistan headache

Agree with the oils. We used peppermint oil on dad. His headaches were at the back of his head.

Re: How to respond to wedding invite

Having just gone through the wedding of my daughter, I can tell you that I personally would have totally understood if someone let me know the day before or whatever time frame works for you that you were not up to coming. To be honest, we had maybe 15 not show up that said they were coming, of thos...

Re: my father's story

My dad sounds like yours, sick of chemo and moody!!! I hope you find something that helps. We are starting vectibix with dad the end of July to see how it works. He is taking a break for almost all of July to build up some strength and enjoy life a little bit.

Re: Now stage 4

So good to see your post as I have been wondering how you were doing, but am so sorry about how things are for you right now. Glad the surgery went well at least. I hope your doctor can come up with a good plan for you. Maybe some of the immunotherapy trials might be an option. Thanks for checking i...

Ok, thank you. They are putting dad on the vectibix alone. No folfox for folfiri.

Ronnieciao, from your signature it appears that your mom was on it with folfox, or was she on it alone at any time?

Re: Update on my dad and looking for info on vectibix

Thank Lois for your response. I will check out all the links you posted. Yes, dad had the stable and then slight growth on folfiri thus the switch to folfox. Mom had him go to get his feet done yesterday and is working on getting his skin in better condition for vectibix. His arms are so dry and loo...

Update on my dad and looking for info on vectibix

I just got home after going with dad to his oncologist appointment yesterday. He has been on folfox with avastin since January and after his second ct scan, the liver is still not responding, actually slight growth, although his lungs are still responding. Dad is tired and wants a break, so after di...

Re: The Grim Reaper took another swipe at me !!

Thank you for the update Mrs Frenchie. I hope they can get his pain under control. Also hoping spring really arrives here soon so his walks are more enjoyable! It has been so cool and windy lately. Sounds like rain for the next week, which will be good for all the fires, so can't complain.
