Re: Homemade salad dressing recipes

Kudos to you, I have such difficulty meal planning. I’ll do it for one week and then I get side tracked or off schedule and don’t do it the next week, or my wife will grab groceries before I get my meal planning done and it throws everything off schedule! I love beets and goat cheese but dislike aru...

Re: Homemade salad dressing recipes

CR, Oops chemo brain! Correction made abive! I saw your name funny enough but don’t recall reading your actual suggestion. I must have fallen asleep on the sofa! No, not because you were boring me! Now I am going to go back and actually read yours. And unless it has anchovies in it I’ll be trying it...

Re: Keytruda....Working for MSS....Mutation Burden is the Key

Heard back already from Foundation One. “ The price for our FoundationOne® test is $6193.60 CAD for patients of Canadian ordering physicians.“ However, it looks like there’s a trial still recruiting right now, and one location is at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, it’s one of the OCTANE test ...

Re: Short Term (5 Days) Radiation - Side Effects?

Hi rwightman, My first 5 rounds of radiation were for my abdominal wall and it didn’t get rid of it, it was mostly to try and help with pain as it’s growing into my muscle. The more recent 5 rounds we’re to pelvis to deal with some small spots where my small intestine meets my rectum. Also to try an...

Re: Homemade salad dressing recipes

AndreTexas,Green goddess is like a thing! I recall my friend ordered a salad in a restaurant once and one of the choices for dressing was green goddess. Never thought of making it and I’ve yet to try it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Re: Homemade salad dressing recipes

Hey peanut, let me know if you try it what you think! I’m going to try both of these out. Thank you! Steph Hi Steph, Yum, salad dressing. Love to make my own! I used to have a recipe for an asian dressing that had mayonnaise and sesame oil. Not sure where I put it, butt it was really good. Your post...

Homemade salad dressing recipes

Hi everyone, I’ve been eating a lot more green salads this summer and I am looking for some new inspiration in the kitchen. I mix it up with lots of different toppings but I’ve grown a bit weary of making the same olive oil and balsamic salad dressing every day. Was wondering if anyone had a favouri...

Re: Short Term (5 Days) Radiation - Side Effects?

I had pelvic radiation for about 5 days and the only possible side effect i have is that sometimes I bleed when I urinate, but they think that could also be caused by my blood thinner. I also have some pelvic cramping but not sure if that’s from the radiation. That’s it! It was fairly harmless, I do...

Re: Keytruda....Working for MSS....Mutation Burden is the Key

I wonder, can Canadians get Foundation One testing? What exactly am I asking them for, (just for “mutation burden testing of my tumour”) and how much could I expect to pay, any ideas?

Re: Stage 3b with ovarian met recurrence and healthy now

You're not alone! After a colon resection and six months Folfox, I thought I was done. At three-month checkup my CEA was up and I had mets on ovary and liver. More chemo, big operation, and waited another couple months. Another CEA jump and it was in both lungs. I've been stable for a while with lo...

Re: Erythema ab igne

Steph: I am on Palliative Care and have been on narcotics for 2-3 years. Before considering a pain pump, I would think your Palliative Care team would offer you a long-acting narcotic such as the Fentanyl duragesic skin patch. It comes in several dosages, the medication absorbed through the skin (b...

Re: Erythema ab igne

Steph: Your post is a valuable sharing of information for others to learn from. Erythema ab igne is not a common/routine finding and can escape diagnosis by physicians because it is not on their radar screen. I saw 3-4 cases of erythema ab igne during my years as a clinical physical therapist. Prol...

Re: Erythema ab igne

I use a heating pad pretty often for abdominal. I knew you could get a burn, but I didn't know about the skin problems. I do make sure I have something like my PJ's between the heating pad and my skin. I hope yours clears up quickly. Sally 8) Hi sally, that’s good. I too always had sometching betwe...

Re: Erythema ab igne

Hi Steph, for years I wondered about a condition I had been experiencing. Most of the time the palms of my hands are red. I have asked a lot of doctors but none were able , or willing to enlighten me. In recent times my nephrologist has come to believe that I am suffering from auto-immune hepatitis...
