Re: Folfiri and pedicures

I think, it is your individual reaction to 5FU. My feet and toes and fingers are actually turning black while on Xeloda or 5FU, face too.. So, you are in a "better situation" I too love pedicure and wear it thru whole year, but either do it myself, or, mainly, my daughter does it for...

Re: ??? to FUDR patients/MSK liver mets - PET's experience

Thanks Lois and Marianne, valuable inputs, I appreciate. No, I have no lymph nodes involvements, never had. But did have visceral involvement on Stage 1 and now. The bile duct stenosis situation I had last Oct did resolve by itself, they did not put a stent in Hopkins after the CT scan, I flew back ...

Re: ??? to FUDR patients/MSK liver mets - PET's experience

Thank you, Marianne and JM, big hug to both of you... Marianne, I've been thinking the same way yesterday - visceral spread... I am allergic to Oxi, so no combination with it for me. Dr. K did mention that after clarifying with surgeons, supposedly today, she might put me on a different drug, did no...

Re: ??? to FUDR patients/MSK liver mets - PET's experience

Thanks much, Sha, Radnyc, Ann and CR for your kind words and support. Your right, Radnyc, I should not drink, but I do it very rarely - this month was tough for so many reasons, not just CRC, so I indulged a 3 times...not good, I know... but I also know how much damage mental condition does - it is ...

Re: ??? to FUDR patients/MSK liver mets - PET's experience

Well... the magician (fakir in Russian, as saying goes) was drunk and focus-pocus did not happen... MRI showed tons of little well rounded lesions (I saw all comparisons on all 3 scans) along with the PET lighting, the one I asked to measure was 5mm, it was somewhat bigger than many others, but not ...

Re: question about low wbc/neutropenia

JM, my dear friend, this IS concerning... What did dr.S. say - "did not seem concerned" does not cut the mustard - did you question him what to expect with chemo continuation? Read Immunoscore thread I posted - Lpas has a good post there about the immune system management. It looks to me t...

Re: Silly Question on Disability or Life Insurance

No matter what they say, but with cancer dx you are NOT going to find insurance. I tried 10 different companies to get a supplemental to Medicare - NOPE! - what is stated in the law, is not really functioning in real life... So, i pay my 20%, which is a lot when it comes to cancer treatments... SSN ...

Re: Wheezing - NO Dr. can figure it out...

CR, I swear, I often think that DO and Vets know much more than MDs... Your great analysis, I bet, is what Grace's doctors did not even think about... It puzzles me how restricted their thinking is - well, for vast majority of them.... And it really saddens me a lot that majority of patients look up...
