Re: Bad CT Scan

Jim, no problems with the local onc. They share notes and he follows her instructions. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes as well as possible for you next week! Stay strong and ask hard questions. I (and others ) on this forum are living proof that treatment options are changing fo...

I think you're entitled to fuss. If we had to go by the "somebody worse off" standard, there'd only be that one guy who is able to complain :)

Re: Bad CT Scan

Jim, I live on the west coast so I was referring to my local onc here. Dr. Kemeny is my main oncologist so all my marching orders come from her now! :D I fly from the west coast to the east coast every few months to see her. When I was in treatment and having multiple surgeries, I moved to NYC for ...

Re: stopping CT scans

I thought your nodules were a bit smaller. The standard answer is always "1cc", but obviously it can be done on slightly smaller nodules. Glad you're getting it done! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!! 8) Will be thinking of you on Thursday! I guess they can - mine are all sub-centimter, but one or two...

Re: stopping CT scans

I'm really glad you feel that way. That's the greatness of this support group. There are a lot of possibilities out there for our situation. One of the best things that you have going for you is that you're being treated at MSK. I wish you the very best. Ann - I believe that there are possibilities...

Sally - thin needle biopsy on lung nodules is my understanding - they haven't said anything about the lymph node.

Re: stopping CT scans

I've had small lung nodules four times. I'm not sure how many you have or where they are located. You say they are watching these lung nodules so are they not sure if these are cancer? Wow, I wouldn't throw in the towel yet, but maybe that's just me. Many folks on here have been in your shoes. When...

Re: stopping CT scans

Robert - I wouldn't presume to know how chemo affected you or what may otherwise be driving your question, but I can give you my opinion on my own situation (which seems similar to yours). You can see from my signature my relevant history. I had my first annual surveillance scan last Monday; Wednesd...

Re: Bad CT Scan

This study done in London at the hospital where I had my laser lung surgeries showed significant benefits of doing chemo both before and after lung surgery (called perioperative chemo). http://link.springer.com/article/10.1186/1471-2407-12-326/fulltext.html I didn't know this before my first lung s...
