Re: Rash after robotic LAR near incisions

I am sorry to here what you are going through. I cannot be much help but share that for myself, that almost out of the blue, I started getting rashes/allergic reaction around plasters etc. And lasted quite a while!? It seemed that some of the glues (which vary) on the various medical items they stic...

Re: I need some help guys

Hi William. Sorry about your dad. You are fine until symptoms show otherwise. You have one awful hill to climb (really a breaking mountain pass with a few dragons) in order to get through things. I like the phrase that describes life at times being '..the battlefield of the mind..' with cancer being...

Re: Reversal

I agree.
Your story is almost amazing and is great to hear.
I wonder how much is due to your healthy/active state of mind and lifestyle? I mean this as a compliment to your character which is always looking at the best outcome!?
thanks for that.

Re: The Miseries - But 'Hey I have it pretty good...'

HURRAY things are getting better...... :D :D I have an awful sore guts, especially after meals, as things move around down there. But 'pooing' is no longer the terrible agony it was, just sore. ISSUE-I just seem to automatically get constipated and need medication to keep it all soft (I thought my w...

Re: Just diagnosed with rectal cancer and terrified

Hi Jessica, You will be fine. I share that, as I was very similar with cancer in my lower rectum. Bleeding is a symptom but no indicator of the stage so please try to be at ease. Yes it is an awful road to travel but that is all it is. And believe me you will be a much more informed (and better) 'me...

Re: New here My son has colon cancer

I'm the original poster. I'm replying because I cannot find where to begin a new topic. I read in FAQ to "click on new topic"...but where is it? I'm writing for some advice/support/help for my 46 yr old son with Stg III colon cancer. He had a CT about 3 weeks ago and told me all was fine....

Re: Adverse reaction to capecitabine?

I would be shocked if a doctor didn't order this test as it's likely standard of care as it can result in patient death.

Thanks for that.

Re: Adverse reaction to capecitabine?

YUK...!? This has alarmed me a bit as I had similar reactions to Xeloda and then had the TIA. I am no Dr but am being careful as especially the chest pains, sweating away at night, breathing hardship (nothing drastic but an ever present extra force required) were real. And even now, for quite a whil...

Re: The Miseries - But 'Hey I have it pretty good...'

This may sound odd, but I found that Lamaze type breathing exercises are helpful - as a distraction from the pain and to help with pushing. 8) mob Haha .... I was doing so anyway. Pushing out sounded so much like what ladies go through in child birth so I looked at the techniques and at hospital th...

Re: The Miseries - But 'Hey I have it pretty good...'

DAY 10 after radiation - Things have 'just' calmed a bit but WOW I have one painful digestive system. Am being careful what I eat but after I eat or drink anything it all moves a bit inside and has you whimpering. It is OK I just am a bit demonstrative during such times. Especially when on the seat ...

Re: Chances of being colon cancer? Colonoscopy tomorrow

Hi, I’m a new member here and I’m absolutely terrified of what the result of the colonoscopy tomorrow will be. I’m 27 years old male and my birthday is in 9 days so this is absolutely horrible.................... What are my chances of colon/rectal cancer? I have already put in my mind that’s what ...
