Aside from Immodium, I would use Lomotil and sometimes an Ativan. My onc explained that Immodium & Lomotil have the same goal but act a little differently. I found Ativan to be helpful when my muscles were in a strain cycle and I needed something to help them calm down. Aside from that, you may ...

Questions: 1. For those who have rectal cancers, what are the initial symptoms and the noted thickening, is .9cm significant? My symptoms were SEVERE and unexpected weight loss (down to 85 lbs. from 105 lbs.), bleeding, and intense stomach pains (like double you over because it was so gut wrenching)...

Taste buds came back for me just fine, thought it did take some time. In the meanwhile, he may actually want to avoid his favorite foods while on chemo. I can't remember the thread where I saw the suggestion, but it may cause him to be turned off to his favorites as it might remind him of the chemo ...

Still checking in with you all, though obviously lurking more than posting. But I had to stop in and tell you that it's my 8-year cancerversary!!! I'm 2.5 years NED since my last occurrence and I am a proud 2016 Colondar model!!! Living my life continues to be one of the greatest ways I can think of...
