Re: New liver met-help!

Hi. I should point out at the time of resection in 2010 the policy of my mum's oncologist in the UK was to treat visible disease with chemo in a stage 4 setting. I do appreciate that is a different protocol from the US and if anybody has current research links I would be delighted to read them. Kind...

Re: New liver met-help!

Hi, Sorry to hear you have a liver met to contend with. My mum has had two resections. She has never had chemo after resection. The first resection was not surgically large enough and she had a quick presentation of more disease that was clearly always there. The second resection removed 73% of her ...

Re: My Therapy Session

Welcome to the forum. I think its a great idea to come here to express yourself. My mum is the patient , and has been a stage 4 patient for over six years. Initially I will admit to getting it more wrong than right in terms of support but you know we got there in the end and I guess we were given th...

Re: My Personal Cancer Cure Conspiracy Rebuttal

It must have been really frustrating for you to hear that, but some good may have been done in that people trust you and you can give them insight into an industry they probably know little about. I never hear conspiracy theories about the common cold !!!
Take care

Re: Newly diagnosed aged 28

Hi. Enjoy your time with your family. For sure there is every likely hood that this will become part of the fabric of your past. You have a robust scanning programme and the tremendous liver unit on your doorstep as an insurance policy with the surgeon to the Queen operating on people like my mum on...

Re: I need to talk

Delighted your going to be fine. Raising awareness is so important so that people do exactly what you did , and get it checked out. You did the right thing. I just had a breast lump checked out and it was a difficult process but its the right thing to do. Now you can relax and enjoy yourself with yo...

Re: Infections

Hi. Hope you managed to get the childcare sorted. Good on your grandma for trying to help you. I really do feel for people with kids trying to meet all the demands and fit chemo around it. I should not say this but its a bit disappointing with your mum. I hope she reconsiders this. I hope you get yo...

Ha. Brilliant. I never even noticed it. Predictive texting at it again. " plan" or "man". Mmmm. There's always options in life. Now how do we break this to Jude's husband!!!!
