I had the folfox x 12 post 1st surgery, then rising CEA and found a second tumor -----went after a second tumor in August but found liver mets (no one was real good about giving me a number) so onto Folfuri (with Avastin x4), maintain Folfuri until MRI in December at UMMC and I'm praying for surgery...

I currently have liver met also..I went to have a tumor removed form colon in August (it was recurrence or missed or whatever from 2014).. they found mets to liver-several spots (I would have liked as number) so no removal of colon tumor-back on 6 rounds Folfiri .. 4 with Avastin--MRI 12/2 and hopef...

the 1st couple of rounds were rough-then seemed to develop a tolerance . I did chemo Thursday so no work -some days I could work Friday , some not, Ask them if they can teach you the disconnect procedure, its not really complicated just a little creepy (I am RN as is wife) but it saved us a trip bac...

did not see this posted , if you're not keeping up with fluids, and no matter how hard I tried I was not, ask MD for IV fluid bolus with infusion-it seemed to help, esp. over those chemo sessions

mike recheck with MD about if you need to be Monday (or is it just the day they do it in his office) I ended up getting mine in the hospital Infusion room and did THursday-after the 1st few rounds actually went to work Friday (kind of a stationary job) and disconnect Saturday-(wife is a nurse) --pus...

I'm on round 5 with Folfiri (after 12 rounds of Folfox last year) -I found the fatigue MUCH worse with Folfiri (I was actually able to work during the infusion on Folfox after awhile), now wiped out for days, diarrhea seems to be 5-6 days post treatment and then not a big issue because I've been to ...

wait for the oncologist visit-you will both drive yourselves crazy with everything you try to absorb- I'm an RN also and am so out of my element bring paper, pen, then when you have all his info, get recommendations for MDs, also consider asking close friends (if you are in hospital) who might have ...

thank you-I want to push for HIPEC for my own piece of mind now CEA to 34.9 from 19.?, waiting on Baltimore for RFA decision tom., Oncologist here will start chemo pre op I believe- I'm going to post later asking if anyone knows about RFA-success -waste of time etc- at least I know consensus of 2 MD...
