Irinotecan experiences?

I am on second week of Irinotecan + Cetuximab. The flood gates opened this week with pretty significant diarrhea for the past two days. I called oncologist office and was told to double up my immodium dosage and see how that works for me. I have a colostomy so I can only gauge by how often and quick...

Re: Fatigue Advice

Thank you for all the suggestions. We met with our covering oncologist today since our old oncologist was just promoted to a new position at a different hospital and the new oncologist has not begun yet. We had to fight to get an appointment today because my husband wants to begin his leave of abse...

Re: Another CEA thread...

Hi Jesse, My CEA level at diagnosis was very very high, like 2900 January 2017. I haven't seen anything close to that on here. My most recent test on July 10th showed a CEA of around 1600 which is still very high but lower than where I started. I was in and out of the hospital so much before having ...

Re: Rectal cancer (Stage 3A) diagnosed late June 2017

Hi Mike, I just caught up on all of your posts and learned even more from them, especially the genetic tests. I didn't know tha tthe staging for Rectal cancer is different than for Colon. I can only imagine your discomfort, I was lucky in that respect and really had very little pain until my blockag...

Re: SUPPORT GROUPS - Local Nationwide Please List Yours!

Hi Jaynee, I am in California so can't help you with support groups in Atlanta. I have yet to find an in person one here. Your question about how to handle BM's at the work place isn't quite clear to me. Do you have a colostomy or poor control? You might want to ask that question in the general foru...

Knocking on wood daily!

I spent the first 6 months of this year in and out of the hospital due to severe toxic reaction to 5 FU and als...
