Re: Checking In; BrownBagger Update (w/photos & drone video)

I, like many folks check in from time to time and I'm glad to see you're still doing what you love. I have heard some good stories about immunotherapy so hope to read you're on that successful path soon. You've been through enough recently...... Anyway, love the garden! I have become a gardening man...

Re: Reversal Log: Experience,Problems, Q & A's

Hi all! I just opened up this thread after responding to a couple of other posts about bowel issues. I just want to say I am still using the daily enema and am happy with my quality of life as a result. It is a choice that many of us make. I too, like to control when I go so I can go about my life w...

Re: It just keeps on Giving!

One more thing. About the hernia, Tammylayne who I mentioned in the last post also had the hernia issues and had surgery so she could relate to both of your problems.

Sorry for all you are going through.

Re: It just keeps on Giving!

Hi! Many of us have been in the same boat as you and some of us have opted for the use the daily enema to give us quality of life. I had the same issue as you, the hours of clustering and straining along with it. I started getting a weird abdominal muscle spasm from straining. Anyway, I have been do...

Re: Ground Glass Nodule

It's good to keep an eye on nodules, although many times they are not cancer. I have three that I think we are finally finished watching, one is a 1.4 cm ground glass, another solid, and yet another spiculated. It is unnerving but often nothing. Doctors will watch for changes and if there is growth,...

Re: Enema therapy

Hi! I am one of the people on here who uses the daily enema. My issues are constipation and the lack of urge to go. When I do go, on my own (no enema), I experience hours of clustering and never feel emptied. So, I use enemas. I have posted in other threads about the process. I use a standard red ba...

Re: Low Anterior Resection Syndrome: Do you have it?

Hi Vince, I just saw your post. And things are still about the same for me so I am still using enemas to go. Unlike people with diarrhea LARS symptoms, I am able to eat raw veggies and fruits in large quantities and need to in order for the enemas to work. Foods I don't eat, white or whole grain pas...

Re: Blockage Question

Hi! I had one blockage that cleared at home 3 weeks after reversal, then another but not until five months later. It was a total blockage that was a kink caused by adhesions. I had surgery to lyse (cut) the adhesions and release the blockage. I have been okay for over 3 years. I have a couple of tim...

Re: MARCH Scans and blood work/ etc.

Diane, we have almost the same schedules. Blood work and 6 month CT of lungs only, March 25. Onc appt, April 1. I only get the full scans once per year. The 6 month lung CT is to look at existing lung nodules that they have been watching for slow growing lung cancer, (hopefully, nothing). Good luck ...

If you go to Cleveland Clinic, ask for Dr. Remzi. He is amazing, successfully fixes otger's mistakes. Go to the site and watch his video.

Good luck!

Re: Brand new, and lost

The sooner you can get through the testing, the better you'll feel. It's difficult when things are up in the air. Was there anything of particular concern to your oncologist? Like you, I had a large, low rectal tumor. At MDA, they should have good protocols in place to help you deal with the side ef...

Re: Not sure why this happened

I have never posted in detail about my leak test experience for fear of scaring someone before getting one. My experience was unusual and also traumatic. The pain and nausea were excruciating during the test. I was better for a while afterwards but kept needing to release mucous and hard stool. The ...
