Saw the oncologist today. My lab work was good. My CEA has gone down to 113 from 400 in March when this all began. Dr. Wants to drop the 5-fu and reduce Ironateacan to 120. He says he wants to give this a try before he scraps the plan and has to come up with another. He wants me to get fluids if non...

Re: Folfri is off the table

Bev, Doctor says no more for me as it is causing so many issues. He will try something else although I do not know what that will be. I do not want to revisit Folfox as that was hard on me also. I only get fluids at infusion center or at hospital outpatient center or they admit me. They may have to ...

Folfri is off the table

I have been battling with Folfri for the last two infusions. I have had to get fluids every time for several days in a row. My colon has started dumping every thing out .last week I was in the hospital for four days due to severe dehydration which happened all in 20 minutes. The doctor is perplexed ...

Re: Hi

I have been on atropine and Imodium for the last 8 days.i have also been on the brat diet. The big d finally has slowed down. This has been quite a trial. I had done this regime in 2012 and did not have these problems. I am feeling more like myself. Thanks for the responses!

Re: Just one more CEA question

Kenny, CT scan and bone biopsy were what they used to confirm. Targeted the one area that was giving me fits. I kept pointing to lower spine, tailbone area...that is where the met was on the spine. Spine eroding and small cracks around the bone. The tumor is up in the spinal column and eating away. ...

Re: mCRC STAGE IV OR RECURRENT PATIENTS thread - ONGOING

Well, I made it so far through radiation : So far it has been very easy. Fatigue just being a issue in the evening. Play time with the grandsons has to wait. Living while dying: dying by degrees. That would be my book title. We do have advantages, in that we get to plan our services, state what we wa...
