Re: anyone here with Kras T53 mutation

Here is my take on the TP53's: So... Healthy P53’s fight cancerous DNA. But when they get sick or mutated they stop fighting the bad cells. So there is efforts to boost the healthy P53’s to fight harder but years of testing, nothing has made it to the Market. Researchers are trying to restore the P5...

Re: TIL trial at NIH going for initial testing

Hi teri3 - In my general laymen terms - Typically the NCI Team will review all your results, they have a meeting the following Monday and make a decision if you’re a good candidate for the trial or not. Also, If it’s a go, they will request you to be off Chemo at least 30 days prior to surgery. Surg...

Re: New TIL Trial NIH/NCI NCT03412877

Thanks DH2, Great explanation. and yes, it does take longer to develop these Young TILs, so NCI reviews your disease progress very closely to ensure they do not put you at risk.

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Hi Sharijohn - We are still awaiting word from NCI/NIH if her TIL cells are reactive in the lab. Should know something within the next 2 weeks or so... Steps and timelines after TIL harvest Surgery: 1. After TIL Harvest Surgery = 2 to 3 weeks if cells are growing by the billions. 2. After TIL Harves...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

What I found on "Young" TILs - This led to the development by Dudley et al in 2010 of a streamlined “Young TIL” protocol that pools lymphocytes from multiple tumor fragments, without additional selection, to obtain the cell number needed prior to rapid expansion, shortening the time compar...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

My Wife had lung wedge resection surgery this week 1/8/18 at NCI/NIH to harvest her TILs. Everything went well and today we will go home after she completes Aspheresis. Now we wait and see for 3 months if the harvested cells grow with the proper mutations. Incredible stuff going on down here in Beth...
