Re: Biopsy of tissue after endoscopic mucosal resection

Thanks for your encouraging words colon king! Yes, I have seen all sorts of polyp sizes on here, and read so many different things online about polyps, types, when to be scoped, etc. I guess that's why I pushed my GI doctor to scope me earlier than 3 years. Let us know what your pathology results sa...

Re: Biopsy of tissue after endoscopic mucosal resection

Hi folks! I had my 3 month follow up colonoscopy to check on how the site is doing where they removed a large polyp. There looked to be a small polyp-type thing near the site, although the doc said it wasn't a polyp. Nonetheless they removed it - whatever it was, some type of elevation - and they a...

Re: Update-- Multiple Polyps Removed at 25

Glad your gene test was negative. I am 36/f. I had a 12 mm tubulovillous adenoma (benign) removed in 2014 by colonoscopy. I am scheduled for another colonoscopy next month. I am Lynch negative. Did they say what type of polyps you had (tubular, tubulovillous, etc)? How big were they? One of my GI do...

Re: Lynch Syndrome (M1H1)

I am 36/f. I had my first colonoscopy in Dec. 2014 after seeing blood in my stool on and off for a few months. My GI doctor found a 1.2 cm tubulovillous adenoma, & diverticulosis in my colon. He completely removed the polyp, & it came back benign. I had the Lynch syndrome test done, and it c...

Re: Time for my check up - 3 questions

I am not scared of colonoscopy. It was an easy procedure. I actually have an event to go to later that day:-) Will not be driving - of course. You will be great!!! Lucky that you were able to find your polyp still precancer. My polyp was cancer but on the top of the polyp. Some studies claim less t...

Re: Time for my check up - 3 questions

I am 36/f. I had a 12 mm tubulovillous adenoma took out during colonoscopy in 2014 when I was 34. It was fortunately benign, and my GI doctor said come back in 3 years. I pushed him to do another colonoscopy sooner though, & am scheduled to have it done this October. I really dread it. I'm an LP...

Re: 28 with precancerous polyp

I had a 1.2 cm tubulovillous adenoma (benign) found during colonoscopy in December 2014. I was 34 then. My doctor said it was safe to wait 3 years for next scope, but I'm scheduled to have it done this October. Since mine was so big & I was only 34, I was scared to wait that long... Fingers cros...

Re: Worrying Myself Crazy

It could be lots of things. Blood in stool or other stomach symptoms can be so many different things, from ulcers to hemorrhoids to colon cancer. Try not to worry until your colonoscopy. My sister has IBS. She was having blood and loose stools for months and had a colonoscopy which was clear, but he...

Re: A horseshoe and a Tubulovillous Adenoma up my butt

I had a 12 mm tubulovillous adenoma removed in December 2014 by colonoscopy. I was having rectal bleeding on and off a few months, and that was why I was scoped. I am 35/F. It came back benign. I had Lynch syndrome testing done as well due to having this at age 34. It came back negative for Lynch. M...

Re: 19 year old who needs a colonoscopy

Yes, I would see a GI doctor and demand a colonoscopy. I had a precancerous type polyp at age 34, and will have to have more frequent screenings now. My husband's first wife, had stage IV colon cancer at age 20. She passed away at age 24 (she began to refuse treatments due to exhaustion is what my h...
